What a beautiful case of MRSA I had as a client today at school. Cellulitis of the right ankle (possibly from infected hardware from earlier surgery??). Ok so the day didn't start out good, red swollen, but not purulent by any means. Then 30 minutes before we were scheduled to leave I went in to turn the patient over, and what did i see when i pulled back the sheets??? A PUDDLE OF PUS! OOZING, GLOBBY, DRIPPING ON TO THE FLOOR PUS!!! My only disappointments 1. They wouldn't let me squeeze it :( that is the wound care RN's job (lucky lady), and 2. I of course couldn't film it and share with all my fellow Zitheads!!
