So in my whole entire life, I have never had a cyst, abscess, boil, bot fly larvae, or what ever. The worst I have ever had was a pimple. I don't even know a human being that has had anything like that.
My cat had an abscess or maybe a spiderbite before but never a person.
Not even my dog had anything, beside an interdigital cyst between his toes, but they are not full of pus nor fun.
Who gets stuff like that? What do people do different than me? I shower every day or twice per day. I put new clothes on every day, I use my towel only once, I eat healthy, don't drink a bunch of soda, no alcohol, I don't smoke. I wear everyday fresh washed clothing, never anything twice. My family has no history of stuff like that at all. I do travel to weird unsanitary bug invested countries, but I don't even get bit by mosquitoes. What do you people do?

I've had infections that needed to be doctored, but not a boil or a cyst, yet. My Maw had one on her tail but I won't go into details there!!!! My kid sis had a cyst growing in the middle of her forehead. It looked like a goose egg but about 1/2 the size of an egg. A doctor removed that. She also had a few staph boils. She's not nasty, just unfortunate. My old tom cat has several cysts & yep, I do drain them. They don't catch on the deshedding tool when they lay flat against his skin.
I spent many years around staph infections, scabbies, hep, etc, well before the word bio hazard existed. Heck, rubber gloves weren't used back in the 70's, early 80's in a non hospital setting. We still used glass thermometers back then. (good times, right MomE?)
Anyway, it was the 2nd shift folks who got the staph &/or scabbies. My guess is that by the time they got home after the shift ended at 11 pm, they were too tired to shower.Posted 2 years ago # -
Oh pussnstuff, I am not saying that one has to be dirty and nasty. Sometimes in the video it just looks like that there are many people that are just gross that have the big gnarly stuff.
I was actually not telling the truth above, I just realized that. I had an abscessed tooth once and fuck that was gross! The Endodontist said that it was the dentists fault that previously made the root canal and he must have fucked it up. Since I am an absolute maniac when it comes to brushing my teeth. I just remember that I thought my whole face would fall off, it hurt so bad.

I had an ingrown/infected hair follicle on the mommy parts once (mons.) It was incredibly painful so after days of hot compresses, I squeezed it as hard as I could. Shot up at least a foot when it finally burst and left a lovely scar.
In an earlier life, I worked in a group home. One individual was incredibly clean and meticulous with her grooming, but she still was prone to boils and ingrown hairs. Drove her crazy although she was the home's official "popper" whenever needed due to her years of experience.

i have had an eye lid cyst when i was young and before i knew or could appreciate the wonderful things about it. then within a couple years of each other recently, 2 abscessed teeth. one from a cracked tooth, from eating ravioli of all things! and the last one from an unfinished/open root canal. (never saw that dentist again) that was nasty, the stuff burst into my mouth with the first abscess when i squeezed my gums and the second one, that i had very recently infected/seeped into the floor of my sinus, from the root tip, so i was blowing out snot, blood and pus from my schnozzola. (a dr.j classic)
and a few years back, well before i discovered this heavenly site, i had a back cyst, right where my bra strap hooked together.
my best friend used to squish it for me, she was into zits and stuff too. once it shot out so much, it splattered her face, hair and clothes. she ran to the bathroom gagging and dry heaving. it wasn't the goo, it was the smell of the goo that made her sick.so when i had the doc remove it finally, i had her put it in a specimen jar and brought it home for show and tell. the casing had torn while she was removing it, so it was kinda messy, but it was gooey nonetheless. the doc thought i was nuts and was rather disgusted that i asked for it, LOL!
i wish i had a video cam for my last abscess, it was impressive and a camera still pic wasn't enough to do it justice.
now that my son has a new camera with video capabilities and an ipod with the same, should there be any future pus etc. i will try to get it for you. his back has a nice juicy zit from time to time. maybe i can get him to stop washing his back for a month???Posted 2 years ago # -
Hey Stuff, right you are!! i wonder if people nowadays even know what the RED top on a glass thermometer indicates! Lots of nasties hiding around that we didn't identify until recently. Have you ever had to quarantine your facility D/to scabies outbreak? i also remember when physical restraints were used when a patient/resident was confused and or competitive. Now it's hardly leagle to chemically restrain without a book. Know what I mean?? Not to say it's good, but its ludicrous when patients rights include "the right to fall" Wow, where did all this come from?? It's the truth!
I believe alot of cysts,boils,acne and similar lesions tend to be inherited. I've never had boils or cysts, but had moderate acne as a teen and young adult. Diet can be a factor and of course hygiene. Im sure none of us have that issue.Posted 2 years ago # -
The house that I worked in was quarantined one summer because of staph. The administration always denied that's what it was. We did have to use wrist restraints on a few of the kids at night. One case in particular would rip & eat bedsheets, mattresses, clothing, hair. He especially loved the elastic in underwear & socks. He always had interesting "poop." hahahahaha!!!!!
It all comes down to money. The states sure make it hard on facilities. A few of the mom & pop homes have closed in this area because of rate freezes & extra slow reimbursement. They weren't fancy, but the care they gave their Residents was some of the best around.Posted 2 years ago # -

Stuff, Its an absolute fact that i would rather make less money than work in the big health care conglomerates! Looking forward to the spring when we return to Ohio and i am able to resume my position as DON @ a privately owned 25 bed, LTC facility. Currently the gentleman who has 1 other partner in this business reigns as owner, DON, administrator and head of housekeeping! I LOVE it! I am promised the job s long as i am willing to work for what he is able to pay.
The residents are all female and are treated very well. You are absolutely correct! The big corporate giants think of business first and holistic care comes in about 3rd. it breaks my heart but is a true indicator of our present society. Where have our values gone?Posted 2 years ago # -

So I didnt pay much attention to it. Work goes on !! a few months later I noticed a little hard ,,Ball,, under my chin.
And ofcourse I tried to Pop it but without result. What I noticed was a dark spot comming up as I tried popping it in the mirror. But that stayed under the skin.
So the months passed by and the Ball grew Bigger and Bigger, I tried Popping on a regular base ,......but without result ! ! The black spot stayed and doesnt come out.
then after a year summer starts and the bump grew wider and one day I drove home from work and wiped off some sweat off the chin and I noticed som yelow reeking substance hanging on my chin!! First gass-station I stopped my car and parked it. I turned the Mirror to the left (Drivers side here !!) and see a little hair with puss commin outa my second chin. I pulled the hair out and it was like a coil,spiral wounded and verry long and the more came out the thicker the hair became. There was a strange kinda ,,blocking at the end and when I pulled a lill harder it ,,plopped'' out and I had a spaghetty like puss hanging down the chin.And a horrible smell agonys my nose......bwehhhh what a smell!! Ofcourse I wanted to push out the rest outa my chin ....I knew it was filled up with a lot off Nastyness, it came out slowely becouse the hair was blocking the ,,Gate,, and was pulled out !! The lill spaghetty/vermicelly thing dangeling out and slowely became longer and longer al by itself. I think the realy Hot weather did its contribution too, the pores are opened ,sweating and so on.
But annyway that Big Hard Bump had to be popped !! So I prepared myself for that, grabbed some tissues........and 2morrow I will continue this story....its far over Midnight now and Me going to sleep...So folks to be continued....Posted 2 years ago # -
i had an abscess and septicaemia.at the time i loved zits and pus but wasn't as educated in excision etc.it originated from a burn,then became infected.
i ignored it until my arm looked like popeyes and it hurt like hell and went to the hospital.they said if i had left it another day or two i would have needed an amputation and possibly died.
i was admitted and spent about 10days in hospital on a drip.i really did feel like i was dying.
every day the nurse would come and cut away all the dead flesh.it did stink.there wasn't a huge amount of pus coming out for some reason,but we never really squeezed it properly-but with hindsight my entire forearm must have been full of pus.the hospital applied a kinda plaster(band aid) that was like a nappy(diaper),in that it had granules inside that absorbed the pus and prevented it from going back into my arm.that became full of pus quite quickly and i had to wear it for about 2 weeks after i left the hospital,whilst taking heavy duty antibiotics all the time.
was not a pleasant experience.
i would love a cyst more than anything.but to be able to let loose on a guy with a wonderful oily skinned back,covered in blackheads(you know the kind),would be like a dream come true for me.Posted 2 years ago # -

The Story continues,.....so where was I ??? Owh yeah in the Car...took the hair out with a ,,plop,, ....spaghetty hanging down the chin.....getting prepared to squeeze the Ball.... Okay.
I positioned the Mirror with some more acurance and had the tissue in my left hand and my right hand was ready to give it a good squeeze !! And a good squeeze it was !! It exploded straight against the wind-screen, wich was covered with WHITE SEMY SOLID pus. In fact I dont know if that is pure pus alone I think it was made outa the same substance wich there is in or onto a hair folicle. And I must admit it didnt stunk so much as the first amount that came out earlyer on when I pulled out the Hair....strange eeyhh ?? But okay, I didnt care less about the windscreen and the mirror was covered with white spots and some chunks. I wiped the Mirror with the tissue and loocked closely at the Bump-Hole....I KNEW that it wasnt empty at first squeeze !!!! And what I saw was so strange ...the Hole was blocked again by a thick hard black thing, so I tried to push a little with my thumb and finger Under the bump.
The Black thing came out a lill with a lot of white gunk and chunks.... And it stuck out a litle like a loop, not the end or beginning. And it was as thick as a thooth-pick !! Another Massive ingrown Hair was hiding in there ,and I suddenly realized that that was the hard black spot wich I saw the Months before I tried to squeeze the thing!! I tried to grabb it and get hold off the hard tooth-pick thick, black thing/hairloop-curl, but that hurted like HELL and it was realy stucked...I couldnt get it out !!! I gotta have something to poke it with or something....but I didnt have some tools for that in the Car...and to take the Wheel-Iron to do the Job I found that a bit overdone !! Annyway ...there was still more Gunk and white stuff inthere and I planned to get that out first and worry about the Hair later on. So for 2morrow ill tell ya the rest of the story and the surprise the Black HairLoop had in store !!!

My story...
Because of the job I do, I was advised to have a Hep B inoculation. You have the first shot, then another 6 weeks later, then another after 6 months. So I went to my doctor in December 2008 & had the first shot.
A few days later I had a lump appear on my gum, which developed a head. I squeezed it & the amount of crap that came out. Yuck. Went back to the doctor for some antibiotics. Had a weeks course of them, it cleared up.
A few days before christmas 2008 I had a lump appear on my inner thigh, just below the joint. Really awkward place to see & work on! It got bigger & more painful. Another 2 days & I could hardly walk with the pain.
Back to the doctor.
Oh he said, Mr Tatts, you have a Carbuncle. Here's a week of antibiotics. If it's still bad, come back for more. I was in agony & feeling pretty miserable over christmas with it.
After a week it started to leak pus & blood & general yuckyness. The doctor was all booked up, so I went to my local hospital. The doctor there raised his eyebrows & sucked in breath when he saw it. I asked for more antibiotics & if he could lance it, like I'd seen on youtube. No he said, because of where it is & how big it is, we'll have to admit you & do it under general anaesthetic. No frigging way says I. So off I went with more pills.
Luckily it was draining on it's own. Slowly. I kept cleaning it & dressing it, but it took another 2 weeks of pills before it was healed.
It was my own experience with this that has ignited my interest in such things, hence me joining this site! My wife/friends/colleagues think I'm sick/weird/strange/obsessed & generally f**ked up! But I don't care! I love watching these things. As long as they stay on other people! :)
I think it was all linked to the Hep shot I had - I'm not having any more, thats for sure!

I get all kinds of disturbing infections and irregularities--all the time. It's nothing spectacular and usually there's more blood than anything else. It's been ten years of trying this soap and that antibiotic and still no change. I only get worked up about it when the boils get painful or unusually prevalent. Like--"D@mnit, this has got to stop!" And then three days later, "Ok, phew. Moving on."

About a year ago I got a nasty MRSA infection on my right hip near the front. It got to size of pregnant golf ball, and would not "pop." I later learned that I wasn't poking it deep enough with my needle (actually, lancing would've been better.) After a doctor's visit and a couple of days on Septra (antibiotic, one of the few that works on MRSA which is a form of staph infection that resists most antibiotics) the boil was ready to explode. I finally "popped" it and the tell-tale sign of a MRSA infection came - dark red (almost black) blood mixed with puss. The pressure release felt sooooo good. The next day I tried popping it again, and was horrified when the needle went all the way in and never touched anything. I then took a Q-tip and eased it into the hole, and it was almost all the way in before I touched tissue. That meant I had a huge hole a few inches deep, and that freaked me out. Anyway, it got better with the meds. Then the worst came...
About a month later I noticed a lump on the left next to my penis. I didn't think much of it, but a few days later it had festered into a boil that looked a lot like the MRSA one. By the time I made it to hospital the next day, the boil had moved all the way down through my groin area and was forming another boil on the top left of my scrotum. They lanced me open in both places (they numbed it first, thank god), but not a lot of puss came out as most of the puss stuff was still connected to the inner tissue (I couldn't see anything from where I was, although I really wanted to.) So, they left gauze in and put me back on Septra. The thing that scared the crap out of me was when I woke up the next morning and went to pee, my penis was all swollen up and contorted-looking. I almost freaked out completely, but when I called the doc she said that was just swelling from the surgery and as long as I could pee everything was ok. Sure enough, the next day everything looked normal down there.There were a few times squeezing those infections where the thick pussy stuff would come out, and the relief of pressure was almost heavenly. MRSA is nothing to play around with - the area hurts like hell constantly and you often run a fever and have digestive problems because Septra is so strong it knocks out almost all the bacteria in your system, even the good ones in your intestines. If you do take an antibiotic like Septra, eat yogurt to resupply.

I have had boils in my pelvic region several times. They have ranged from marble size to softball size. They always start out very tiny and can grow to enormous and painful boils within a day. I usually have to have them lanced and surgically removed. After the removal I am usually on IV antibiotics for about 10 days. I had one on my labia about the size of an egg that had me off work for 2 weeks because of the lancing and antibiotics. As you can imagine, sitting was very painful so I spent a lot of time laying on the sofa with my legs apart. My husband nearly passed out when he saw the lancing of that one.
My Dr. has me keep a 2 or 3 day supply of antibiotics at home all the time and at the first sign of one I am to start taking them and call him immediately. The relief after the lancing is tremendous even though there is a hole in your lady parts packed with gauze.
I have to admit that I would rather squeeze the gunk out myself but that leads to an even worse infection. They are always located in such a place where I can't even watch the lancing. For once, if I have to have the darn things, I'd at least like to enjoy seeing it erupt.

I had a very large bump like thing in my lady parts as well. it hurt it was awful. oh was it painful!!! it was right on my pantyline. after days and days of trying to push something out of it, i thought id stop trying. when one day when i went to use the bathroom i noticed a little yellow spot in my undies! so i took my middle finger, and thumb and pushed as hard as i could, and blood, pus, and who knows what else, filled my hand and splatterd on my wall! it was so relieved...untill later on when i could no longer get stuff out of it, i went to the gyno, she lanced it, removed a gland and stitched it back up, now i have a 1/2 inch scar on my vag! STORY #2- I had the same sort of bump on the other side when i was a little younger it was massive! i woke up one morning and my undies had pus where the bump was. noblood, just pus. it also went thru my pajama pants and onto my sheets. that was the end of that one. lets just say i washed those sheets, and clothes twice lol and scrubbed my wall with bleach!

Hi all! New to the site, but I saw this thread, and I needed to share. I've gotten cysts before occasionally. the first couple were on my right thigh. The first time I got one I was a teenager and I just thought it was a "blind pimple" as my mother called it. ( A blind pimple by her definition is a pimple with no visible head) I let it go for a day, then tried to squeeze it. Good lord that hurt! So I figured it wasn't ready, so I let it go. a few more days go by, and it got larger, and more painful, so much it hurt to walk. I finally made a Dr. appointment to have it looked at as by this time I thought something was seriously wrong. I got into the shower to get ready for the Dr. and as the hot water hit it, I felt it pop. So much green goo came out of it, but I was hooked! I squeezed the hell out of it, pus, blood and then the core came out. The dr said it was just a seriously infected follicle and gave me antibiotics to keep it clean.
Over the years I'd get one like it now and then and being aware of what it was, treated them accordingly. Then a couple of years ago, I had to walk to work in August. 90+ heat, 4 miles, etc. Then a couple days later, I noticed what was an ingrown hair gone to hell down in the crease between my thigh and my pubic line. when it was ready, I started squeezing, and a fountain of pus shot out. Well, this kept me entertained for a few days until I drained it completely, and as the swelling went down, I noticed a black ring. I thought "What the hell, ringworm? Srsly?" taking a better look at it, the pore was very open, so I went at it with a sterile needle, and lo and behold, I found 4 fully grown hairs in the follicle at about 2 inches a piece. I had to work then all out with a needle and tweezers. They had gotten bound up in the follicle and curled up, and caused the infection.
Then all hell broke loose. My roommate owned the house we were living in at the time, and being over 100 years old, the bathroom wasn't ventilated, the shower stall harbored all sorts of mold, etc. So it was a staph/MRSA infection waiting to happen. I'm a OCD level neat freak, and I couldn't keep this bathroom clean. Naturally I was the one who got the fun of a staph infection on my happy place. >:-(
I had a small sebaceous cyst down there kept under control by keeping it clean, having it cleaned out by the Dr. and keeping an eye on it. Due to the condition of the bathroom, it became infected so bad, it hurt to sit down, nevermind walk or move below the waist. Got it looked at, the Dr. gave me a scrip for antibiotics and a pain killer and said to take hot baths until it drains. 2 hot baths and a day of hot compresses and the SOB finally popped like a huge zit. My poor boyfriend said it smelled like hell once it burst, but he helped me keep it clean and squeeze it to drain it out. The fluid was green, red, brown, everything you want in a good video here on PTZ. Knowing now that this site exists, I wish I had a camera to film the drainage. We've moved out of that house since then, so the likelyhood of it happening again in very slim. I dread getting another one like that again due to the pain, but I secretly look forward to another one like it, just somewhere else!!!Posted 1 year ago #
