Are you Dutch SexandZits ???
No, Meneer, I'm American, live in NYC. But I spent 3 months living in Amsterdam on a houseboat in about 1975 in my 20s. By the way, meneer is the only word I know in Dutch; everybody I knew who was Dutch spoke English fluently.
Ha Ha Ha ...LOL Why is Amsterdam so famous to youngsters ???? ANd yes most of us Dutchies speak English,...accept for some others who only speak their own language...and that isnt Dutch neither....... But in 75 the citys were a bit diff. and not so ,,over-crowded,, I bet you had the Time of your life back then ???
I was a hippie, the guy I lived with was English with hair down to his waist, we spent all of our time hanging out in clubs and cafes, smoking. Can I say he was a big hash dealer? The Dutch, the only country in the world where pot and its products are legal, taxed, sold openly. The Dutch are totally enlightened and the rest of the world needs to catch up.
people often say that pot is a 'gateway drug',leading to harder substances. But that is only because it has to be brought from dodgy criminal kinds.
Dealt with openly,as it is in Amsterdam, there is no reason why it should lead to anything more harmful.
It is less damaging and antisocial than alcohol, after all,A&E on a friday night isn't full of pot heads,is it?
And the taxation must be a huge bonus to the government.Whereas in other countries, the costs of processing those charged with posession or dealing pot, through to a possible sentence of internment must be immense.
I would be interested to know what % of Amsterdams tourism is related to cannabis
It isnt excactly fully legal....there is still the Law against Soft -Drugs. its a Grace Policy..?? I dont know how to say in English, ...but there is also a lot wrong with all that rules that counts for the CoffeeShops and so... They are alowed to sell but you may not Grow it...??? So in a way its still illegal, has to do with the taxe-man too. But annyway...And people remind, that its not a Free-Lunatic-Dopey-Smoke-Covered Country here...... Some think Hey Holland....you can have as much as you want...annytime, anny day, All the Dutch People are flying happy through their Days......Many Germans,France,Belgiums,&Brittish, get caught when they take to much Home....as an Amsterdam Souvenir.....
California is about to pass a law in the fall that anybody can have up to an ounce of marijuana for their own use, but not allowed to smoke in public places. Finally, the beginning of the decriminilization of a plant that millions and millions of Americans use throughout their lives on a daily basis. Of course we know that the Dutch aren't drug users....one of the most productive, economically sound, and beautiful countries in the world. New York is really New Amsterdam.
Owkey S&Zitz...thats a fair amount of Pot then to have for own use. But we arent allowed to smoke in public spaces too....even not cigarettes or tabaco or smoke whatsoever, but when you sit on a bench in a park or something,Smoking your Joint, and you are not bothering annybody, then cops will say nothing and leave you in peace.....
i think it's funny -- we don't want to give up our secrets for the search! (oh, come on -- you know you don't!)
Prof.....Just wade through the Inet...Hours and Hours
I start with 'cyst' and search on upload date.
I use 'abscess' (and it's misspelled sibling 'absess') and then move to 'pimple' and then try some other languages.
'pickel' is German for pimple. 'grano' is Spanish and seems to pick up some of what we are looking for. 'grano negro' translates to blackhead.
'zit' is too frustrating, and 'boil' is too generic. sometimes 'pus' may net one or two videos of interest.
if anyone knows other languages that could expand the field, please do add them to the list.
Punto Negro also means blackhead in Spanish. Not super helpful here.
I'm not even touching the pot thing with a 50 foot pole.

also....
espinha
cravo
both, I think, are Portugese.
in French, I just found a few I hadn't seen before on YouTube by searching on
Kyste
and I found one fuzzy cyst surgery that one could find with
lipome
Glad I was able to help you in your quest for "search terms", likestowatchcheese :p
You know, I've never really been into pot but I still think it should be legalized. My favorite Uncle was diagnosed with testicular cancer back in 1984 and went through many surgeries, chemo and radiation treatments. What almost killed him was not actually the cancer but the treatments. He wasted away to skin and bones due to the nausea and vomiting. What saved him? At an appointment with his oncologist the good Dr. said "I have to leave the office for a few moments. Wait here for me and please don't take this note on my desk that has a name and phone number of a local and VERY safe dealer of pot...." Within a few days he felt better and after a couple weeks he started to gain some weight back. He is cancer free and alive and kicking today! Honestly, I don't think he would have lived without it.....
Popables--what an amazing doc! Glad to hear your uncle's still kickin.
the Spanish equivalent of the Portuguese "espinha" is "Espinilla" and sometimes yields new results.
Cyst:
German Zyste
French Kyste
Italian Cisti
Portuguese Cisto
Spanish Quiste
Does anyone know what carachters to look for on the ones from China?
pus
infection
MRSA
once in a while Infection or drainage works.
another kind of video that I sometimes enjoy is
blister
but most of the time I really wish the people would not try to do their own surgery, as open blisters are so prone to infection.
sunburn
sometimes stands alone from blister, but seldom yields anything on its own.
try cystic nodular acne. That brought up quite a few vids.
Ok late to this post in the whole cannabis thing and poppables story but all I got to say is WOW! Poppables that is an amazing story and that super cool doctor TRULY was fantastic to put his Hippocratic oath first and foremost :) Nice to hear that it went so well for your Uncle : )
And Sex&Zits I agree with you 110% in everything you said in this thread, just to get right to the point ; )
That is also great news about that new law you mentioned. Did it pass finally? It sure as hell should and I think EVERY civilized country should follow Amsterdam's example. Of course parents with young children should use the same discretion any good parent would in the same way they wouldn't get drunk while taking care of their kids nor subject them to second hand smoke if avoidable, especially with the green kind.
the trick about searching for vids is that you have to look for the words you choose all at once, when you want them dated and know where to look. Your search words are what ever you want to see and in what language you want to see them in. There are so many combinations and it takes awhile. so try out a few, put them in word so you dont forget and use them at will.

also, combining words by adding things like pop(ping), drain(ing), squeeze(ing), remove(ing), lance, squirt... etc. always helps narrow things. Playing with search options on YouTube is easy - you can choose "This Week" or just "Today". Also, choosing Upload Date instead of relevance will help if you are constanly searching and only want say, the last two days but you have to choose All, This Month, or This Week to get more than 1 day (duh! right? ;P)
Misspell words for a change - you'd be amazed!!!
Always look at how many times a video has been viewed, anything over 50 - check the archives. But - since some people do not chose a category when posting and do not include tags, will often mess you up. So will things that have also been reposted on YT. Read the YT description, sometimes you can easily tell if this is an original creation that way (unless they are lying... it happens)
Best advice? When posting - include LOTS of simple tags, AND include the full original title on YouTube (or whatever site) PLUS the username of the person who posted it to YT in the tags section. If everyone did that - it would make finding videos easier when checking the archives. If you look at my posts I always put the original name under the video in the body of the post, as well as the original poster, date, and site. In tags, the o. title and poster. You can search a particular month as well through the archives, if you want to be entirely thorough.
I may overtag - but did you know it helps PTZ, you and your post get listed on search engines??? Yup!! So fill up those tags! :)
So, to all popologists, retired, active, apprentice, and honored guests -
HAPPY HUNTING, uh er MINING!
POP ON!

Its funny about the mispelled words...I also search by them and I came across this yesterday

I put in the original poster and credits but em takes it out, I must be doing it wrong but I am trying to stay close to the original name of the original posting.
