I had many zits over the years. Lately, I got these big back zits that you see first usually by the size of the mound viewing your back in the mirror from an angle. The age of these must be months or years to develop like that.
On the surface, they look like nothing or an enlarged skin pore not discolored but sometimes with what seems to be a scab but really is old puss oozing to the surface and hardening. When I squeezed my first one it took lots of pressure to slowly move out the hard surface and then stringy white puss would be forced out. I have seen variations of this but the difference is that if you can apply enough pressure there is a hard core nugget that popped out of one of mine. I magnified that thing and it looked kinda like a grain of rice about the same size and it was hard and compact.
