Last night my husband was busy scanning for jobs and came across a posting for the position that he got laid off from some 11 months ago...the same position, same company, everything. He started there as a Manager, new to the Solar Industry, and was soon told that due to budget restraints, they were doing his 7 million dollar job in house, meaning that he would have no sub-contractors. It was his first solar project on his own. If it wasn't finished by the end of the year, the company would take a 2 million dollar hit. He bought it in under budget and in a shorter time period than anyone expected. So needless to say his perfomance there was exemplary(sp?). It was late, but he tried calling everyone that he knew at the company, from the big guy on down. He left messages, saying he wanted the job, needed the job. So our hopes are VERY high. We need this folks. Please send out your most positive thoughts, your prayers, however you do it! It's been an excruciating 11 months, with lots of loss, and tons of stress, we could use the break. toes, fingers, eyes, legs, arms -- all crossed. prayer said. it would be totally cool to end up back in the same job... no training necessary! they'd save money in more ways than just his efficiency.

Well, now the only vehicle that we have left is my Tahoe, and it's freaking out, dying all of the time. It's no longer under warranty (I bought it used,w/some warranty left, but that was many moons ago)so Dale is trying to fix it! Yipppeee! If it weren't for bad luck.....

OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG! My husband is on the phone w/his old compay right now! I am sick w/wondering what will happen. They sent him a note that he wont be able to travel home, so he might be gone quite a bit, but we did that to some degree before, and I can handle anything now that I have been through this HELL! Wish us LUCK, keep all of those toes and finger, whatever joint that you can crossed! I'll keep you updated!

Well, the Tahoe had a bad fuel pump, $1050 later, we should be getting it back tomorrow. My in-laws are paying for it, thank the heavens above for them! We're done, throwing in the towel, and yes, at almost 40, we are moving in w/mom and dad. Oh, the humiliation! It just doesn't end, I swear. I am so sad, but relieved at the same time. Seriously, if you see any construction/solar happening big in your state, let me know. We are ready to go anywhere, California is a done deal. I cannot imagine how long it will take this state to come out of what we dug ourselves into. My girlfriend from high school went to our 20 year high school reunion (cringe) last summer, and told me just last week, as I was relating my troubles and woes to her, that at least 80% of my graduating class that elected to stay in the old hometown was or had lost everything too. What a sad, sad state of affairs. Thanks for your well wishes, now ask for this week long rain to stop, as my sister and I both need to move off of this damn street and into parents homes, now isn't that sad? I'm going back to bed now, gonna hide my head in the sand for a while...
