   Contest Contest Contest

   PPM and I are going to have a contest. Starting tonight at midnight.

   The contest is as follows: PPM will go one week without bringing to anyones attention that a post has been posted before (ie: repost). If at the end of that week she has not called out repost I will stop my nagging and be her friend and she can go back to the way she was.

   The contest will begin tonight at midnight 12/7/09 and end at midnight on 12/14/09. EST.

   PPM, if this timing is OK with you then get your repost calling out for the day because at the stroke of midnight tonight the contest begins.......

   i gotta say, cystface, that your idea of friendship -- as exhibited in: "If at the end of that week she has not called out repost I will stop my nagging and be her friend..."? it's kinda frightening and not something that now would inspire lots of trust.

   that said... i am sooooo looking forward to the proposed contest. i am curious to see if there will be any "rerouting" of the impetus that propels the repost commentary.

   i have come to hope that i know but a small part of you, a part that you allow out only here.

   i mean that the issue, in my opinion, has little to do with reposts; the repost is simply the vehicle for attention-getting. i don't doubt that you could put equally serious energy into some other effort, were it to get you what you want. i *do* see you as a troll -- but amateur-status only, as your behavior pales in comparison to professional trolling i have witnessed.

   i don't think you are the only trollish entity here -- indeed, interacting with you tends to bring the troll out in other people. if you object to being called "trollish," the only other definitions that i know are appropriate would be "juvenile" and "childish."

   jumping up and down, squeaking about "other people" who "do it, too" (or even better --other people who do it FIRST!) is just another tiresome example of immaturity.

    Prof, if in the week she is nasty in other ways the contest is off. The whole idea was to have a little harmony for a week without the constant repost cry from the penguin buzzard troll.

    Oh, I just noticed something. My God, how could I miss it. The contest was not supposed to start til midnight but PPM mentioned over an hour ago she would not use the word 'repost' today either so essentially she started the contest over an hour ago and what did she do 25 minutes ago in the previous reply to this thread? She used the word 'repost'.

    PPM, you could not even go an hour without using the word........

    yay, my first chuckle of the day. no... cystface, stick with the midnight start time, if PPM can agree to the caveat of "no nastiness, no baiting" behavior, in addition to not mentioning something being a repost. there are plenty of ways to say that without using the word -- so NO pointing it out, using any terms! is that okay, PPM? and can you wait until midnight (CST? EST? PST? which?).

    Just my 2 cents....PPM is NOT the only one who comments on reposts, I got slammed for a couple of mine. There were many people who just had to call me out and it was first time I posted. Almost every post one here can be found somewhere or another. I don't say anything if it's a good video and everyone makes mistakes. What I think is the worst is the childish fighting and name callng over a post. BIG F'ING DEAL. Just ignore the reposted video or pic OR just ignore the "repost" comment. It takes far more time to complain than to ignore!

    uh CF.. doesn't start until midnight tonight. AND I didn't say I wouldn't say the word today. Sheesh. You keep making up rules as this thing goes along. I am sticking to what we agreed to.

    "Bring to anyone's attn. that a posted has been posted before." Nothing about using the word repost but I will refrain from using the word after the contest starts. I am sticking to our agreement as posted at the top.
    AND we never agreed to me not being nasty in any way shape or form but I will agree to that now... and I will win.

    Prof, I know we don't know each other but for the life of me I don't know why you think I am seeking attention. If that were the case there are far better ways to do that than by the way you say I am implementing. And I'm not going to be juvenile and do it other ways. I simply will refrain for a week. Sheesh... give me a chance before I start at least. I also maintain that pointing out that others do it isn't immature. It is my way of defending myself. No one EVER belittles others who yell the dreaded word... just myself. Do I not have the right to defend myself against those who attack me? I think I do. And at one point in time I did think we were more on the "friendly" side than you calling me names like "troll" and other things. With your intelligence I would think you would come up with far more interesting ways to express yourself than to parrot what others have already said.

    ...and gilming the same goes for people who don't want to see the word. Just ignore the people who have commented by saying it. Works both ways in my opinion. Some people don't seem to understand why I point out what I do. It doesn't seem to matter anyway.

    We'll see at the end of the week if I can redeem myself by winning the contest. Please, until then, let's just be patient and wait.

    I was kidding. The rules are no pointing out reposts. you can't use the word repost and you can't use a different way of saying repost. Example: you can't on a post something like "I am in a contest but if I were't I'd say something about the vid just posted". That would be pointing out a repost. There are no other rules Carol. Just that.

    CF, thanks for the week but could we include the word sheeeesh as well?
    You know that she's not gonna say it (hahaha) and then will continue on her repost mission. It has annoyed so many people over the years that if we all could reach through our screens, there wouldn't have been enough room on her neck anymore. Even though, it would take hulk hand to be able to reach around that neck. I'm gonna zip my mouth now... Hehehe!!!
