Hey Chrisa, felt it more appropriate to blow hot air here than in the video comments section.
Good buncha peeps here. Lots of emo. Might be from lack of good pus. Oh ha ha.
Chrisa - no, that's not my cat; just a picture from my son I thought funny. I don't use my picture becuase it is definitely NOT funny. Well, funny looking... Yours is great. Your one of the few to use their own image. Annonymity is a prudent choice but using one's own image tells a good story in my opinion.
My wife and I are against most proposals for new government controls. I'm a closet Libertarian posing as a conservative. I believe in each person taking responsiblity for their own needs and actions; compensation based on merit; not coveting what others have. However, I believe in taking care of the elderly, physically/mentally challenged, veterans. Charity is anonymous and involves God and me.
However, I am wondering if the USA should raise the bar and define healthcare as an entity of "national infrastructure". Examples: Interstate Highway System, utilities, FAA(public aviation), FDA(food and drug), public education, disasters(FEMA), etc. The need for standards, controls and funding for primary infrastructure makes sense at several levels - efficiency in providing for the common good being paramount. It's about where to draw the line in a spectrum of Individual Liberty at one end and Socialism at the other.
I am against the current plan. A serious breach in values and hidden agenda makes the current plan unacceptable.
But I don't have a solution either.
So, I've been scrutinizing the observations of NHC in Canada. I appreciate your remarks in general. You seem to have healthy level of grip. I tend to agree with your conclusions, Chrisa. I suspect others who clain to be happy have not experienced something catastrophic. I'm in a battle with cancer and I dread government anything right now. I know that most doctors don't appreciate government control of their wage or practice, so the medical community is compromised.
Well, enough said.
