Hey folks I know some people have issues with vids and other little bugs.
It mostly can come down to your browser and your flash player. Please read through all the below first before doing anything. Thanks ;-)

If your using AOL..... as a browser then I dunno what to say. Don't use it. :-)

USING Internet Explorer 9? Read below
First look at this image... Do you see it up at the top in your browser? Click it.
http://www.popthatzit.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/comb.jpg
The new internet explorer 9 is just like anything else Microsoft pushes out. garbage for the first few months till the bugs get worked out. You can use compatibility mode and the site should work fine. Look up in the URL box where it says popthatzit.com and all the way to the right you will see what looks like a page broke in half. Click that and the site should work. Go here to see what I mean http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/products/ie-9/features/compatibility-view

Get FIREFOX its mo betta ;-)

Please go here http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/new/ and install FireFox. I have been using it for years and the site runs best in it. I highly suggest you use Firefox!

Adobe Flash Player - Please make sure you flashplayer is up to date! Go here http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Other Tips - Clear out your browser cache. Don't know how? Go here http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cache

Hit Play Button Twice? I have also been told some people have to click the play button on the video twice so maybe that does that trick for you.

If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks!

I really appreciate all of the hard work that is put into maintaining this amazing, informative and entertaining website. However, I do not want to watch the animal videos. I would like know if many members don't enjoy the animal video thumbnails and would like to have the animal videos posted only from the drop down "category" menu. I know this sounds strange to say as a person who is spending time watching graphic videos, but I find the animal videos actually repulsive and troubling. I look forward to reading some good discussion on the topic.

I am really impressed by the types of people who post comments on PTZ. There is very little profanity used and rarely are there hateful and demeaning comments that are rampant on YouTube. The comments members on this site post are entertaining and interesting. I am glad I discovered PTZ and I am glad to know there are other intelligent people who find the human body and medical science fascinating!

Seeing as you guys are like a distant family to me I hope you don't mind me asking a prayer request in a time of need. It's been a very sad and difficult time since Christmas as I lost a close friend and her three children in an accident. Her husband has been in a coma since and is just starting slowly emerge from it in the past 24 hours. So far not conscious but murmuring a little. When he does wake he will not only have to face his own horrific injuries but learn that 6 weeks ago he lost his wife and little girls as well. Please pray for him, he lived for his family and I can't see him wanting to live without them and he is going to need to be strong to even get through the physical healing his body needs. I feel so unworthy as a friend and feel that I have let his wife down as I have lost my strength. I find it hard to eventalk to to other friends about it and his family. I don't know how to face him when he wakes up. Maybe I have found it easier while he is in a coma because I have been dreading the day he wakes and finds out what has happened. I know that sounds horrible, but in a coma, I know he is alive and at least free of the horrific pain he is about to face :( anyway I'm in melt down mode and can't keep helping everyone around me. If there are any prayer warriors out there, please step in for me while I just have a little break down, thank you... oh and my friend's name is Matthew or Matt

Just had to get on here and tell ya that I have a new grandbaby. Lydia was born this morning by C-section and I was in there with my daughter. She was fine but I was scared to death. Baby weighed 8 lbs. 10 ozs. and 21 inches long. The doctor (Bless her) cut the cord long so that I could cut it to regular length and I was the first to hold her. It's been 34 years since we've had a baby girl in the family and 8 years since there's been a baby. I found out today that you never forget how to rock a baby. Sorry to bore ya'll but I'm excited and telling everybody.

I have had for the past several years a nodule under my c-section scar. Whenever I asked a doc about it, they just said it was scar tissue, not to worry. It was only pea sized at the time, so I didn't. At one point I did have a CT scan, but it showed nothing that concerned them. About 2 years ago (I had my last child at 3 and a half years ago) it begano growing in size and becoming tender during my monthly cycle and for a week after. It has progressed to the point that is about the size of a walnut and is extremely painful most days of the month. Through research, I have determined that it is not scar tissue, but endometrial tissue implanted outside of my uterus. I have to admit I have not been to the Ob/gyn in over 2 years, but finally broke down two weeks ago and week for my annual visit. He confirmed my suspicion and wants to surgically remove the nodule. He feels certain the nodule is subcutaneous and is not attached to the abdominal facia. He did advise me that because of it's size that it is likely to leave a picker or dimple in my abdomen and cosmetically speaking I may not be entirely happy. Granted, I have a lovely scar and stretch marks to show for my 3 boys, but I don't relish in the thought of one more nasty thing to have to look sorely on when I am naked. My question is this; should I consult a plastic sugeon or general surgeon? Do they tend to do a better job cosmetically speaking?

This is my first time using the forum. I love this site, every night after I put my baby to bed I sit down, kick back and watch zit videos. It's how I unwind from my day, it's my "me time." I probably spend more time on here than I should, it's easy to get started and before I know it it's 2am! At least tonight it's friday so I don't have to be anywhere in the morning...Anyway, I've been enjoying popthatzit regularly for a few months now and I just wanted to introduce myself...and if anyone could tell me how to crop a picture, I can't seem to figure it out...thanks!

What is everyone's favorite *thing*.
I've looked at almost everything here (by types) and I am not ashamed to admit that I fancy bot fly larvae and spider bites. Although a big old popping zit or cyst with a clean sac removal still get me juices flowing.

So I'll start

1. Botflies
2. Big back/neck/BTE cysts
3. Spider bites

Everyone gets one post and one follow-up. My thread...my rules LOL.
I'll save my follow up for Saturday The time is now 8:45pm on Sept 30, 2012 - AST (yeah, PP*TLS is a Canadian but I don't say "eh") Once I have posts up to 11:00PM (AST) on Friday, I'll tabulate the results and post them as my followup. It will be interesting to see what everyone ranks as number 1.

I've been missing in action for a while and I wanted to tell you why.

My husband (the dok) has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. It has spread up into his liver. We are starting on Chemo and prepping for surgery, but sadly, my PTZ hunting and posting days are coming to a halt during this time.

On the up side, we've started a support group on Facebook for people surviving and co-surviving cancer and cancer related issues. It's called STAB CANCER IN THE FACE. Join us for some funny violence towards cancer. I'll be creating a website with items for sale that proceeds will be donated to one of three charities (of your choice).

Thanks all! This is a fabulous community and I can't wait to come back in full swing.

I learned about the websight during my most recent stay in the hospital....the wound care nurses were changing the wound vac and were talking about popthatzit.com....so three times a week for 3 weeks we talked about the site. I have been lurking through the categories watching and reading and have come to a conclusion. I LOVE THE NEIGHBORHOOD!!!

I started reading some of the forums so here is a little about me: My name is Winnie, I am from West Virginia, as for what I do.....unfortunately I am disabled due to an injury sustained 2 years ago. It has taught me to never take anything for granted. As for my favorites.....abscesses and cysts it really doesn't matter where they are located. The animal videos make me sad and I cannot watch the reptiles out of plain fear of them. I don't mind hearing the crowd as long as they aren't obnoxious.

I'm really glad a learned about this website…..it’s a neighborhood I want to hang out in for a while !!!!

...Just speak up here! :) Depending on how many of us there are, is what we could do from here. PCOS is, I think, more common than we know. And a condition not commonly discussed - it was years before I found a doctor who really knew anything about it at all!

So, if you are interested, say so. If you have a story, idea, etc., share it here - all are welcome! Even people who don't have PCOS, but know someone who does, are welcome!

Hi
I had been having the same problem until I read Emilbus's post about "Compatibility Settings". I'm using IE9 and there wasn't a box next to the address bar BUT - go to TOOLS - Compatibility View Settings and Add popthatzit.com to the list of wesites added to Compatibility View and Hey Presto! I got videos back. Sorry I can't offer any help to anyone not using IE9, but I thought the info might be useful to some.

Hey guys, two-for-one -- anyone know of any videos where you can actually hear the 'pop!' or pus shooting out, OR, if there are any newer silly string videos out?
(there's just something intensely satisfying about an audible POP and HISS! and string. lotttts of string.)

Hey all!

Just wanted to let you know that the following YouTube members are posting a tremendous number of "zit" vids, but alas, they are reposts. I feel bad if anyone spends a lot of time preparing a video submission, and it gets canned because we already have the video on the site.

Here are the two at this time to avoid:

StuTube40
WorldOfZits

This isn't meant to say they are awful or bad people, not at all! Just that the videos they are putting up for the most part are ones we have in the Archives. In fact, some may actually have come from our copies on PTZ.

If you know of any other posters on YouTube putting up repeats or viral vids, feel free to add them here.

Thanks, and have a great night!

~ H.S.

For the second week in a row, MS SE has detected the FellmireA trojan present in a file in my Chrome or Firefox cache after visiting PTZ. A google search reveals only the MS Malware Protection Center entry. Since the trojan is in my cache and the cache never gets *run* I'm not concerned, just delete the stupid thing. And it may be a false positive since the knowledge of this trojan (limited as that is) exists only in MS land. Has anyone else seen this while PTZing?
