  Brown recluse spider bites are very very rare, people often mistake a boil or some other skin infection for a spider bite. I work in a level 1 trauma hospital and I have seen maybe at best 5 brown recluse spider bites. Oh and by the way when you already have some kind of an infection which it is clear this man does and then your cut it open you leave yourself open to getting an even worse infection especially when you are not treated by antibiotics.
