This skin problem is caused by exposure exposure to halogenated aromatic hydrocarbons, which are most often found in: Fungicides, Insecticides, herbicides, and Wood preservatives. Do a search on it. It's shocking.

I live in rural Iowa and have seen this on many elderly retired farmers. They spent years out in the fields with no protection from sun and chemicals.
