  I saw nothing, not even what they emptied on to the gauze from the syringe. Any experts out there? Would this type of cyst be filled with fluid rather then fatty matter?

  This is a ganglion cyst. It contains synovial fluid like you find in joints. You can find out all you want by putting ganglion cyst or ganglion wrist cyst.

  My monster-in-law has had several. Every few years she grows a new one. Her doctor calls them bible cysts, that is what they used to be called before doctors knew anything about medicine, because if you hit the cyst it will pop internally and the fluids will be reabsorbed. Monster had the doctor pop her first one on each hand then when they came back she had two aspirated. But when they returned after that, she decided that her cookbook was cheaper and didn't leave any scars.
