- snapcracklepop"Most MD's don't want to remove tonsils. It used to be a standard operation when a lot of us were kids, but over the years research has shown that tonsils are important to prevent infections, so now they make people take tons of antibiotics, etc to treat tonsilitis. Tonsils are only removed if there have been a certain number of infections a year, or they are terribly abscessed. I still have mine. "Tonsil Stones!!!

Description: Warming! This one is a bit graphic. Surgically drain of an abcess. Oh man this one got me feeling my breakfast! This is why you really need to scrub your crack good.

all you abscess loving freaks out there, if you're impatient about waiting FOREVER for good clips to come to this site, go to youtube and look up keyword: ABCESO, ABCESSO, ABSCESSO -spanish translation of abscess. besides animals, mexicans come in second for best abscesses. check out the cyst on the cow by looking up the spanish translations on youtube. the cow cyst is a great clip. later

I think that would have saved him all the digging around in there (and would have been more entertaining!).

Nothing like standing around having a good old conversation while swabing out someone's bloody and zit abscess. There was quite a pile of glop on that sheet. It must have been pretty hard to sit.

Instead of opening the cavern with a hemostat he pokes with scalpel in any direction. I wouldn't wonder if he pierced the abcess at the bottom. And he never consideres to gently squeeze it out, but hectically forces those swabs into the wound. The best thing was the cloth instead of gauze. The patient will have a nice time get this bulky thing out. He did a great job, really! Never get ill in Mexico!

Yes, my children, this is a perineal abscess. Better known as The 'Taint area. Ow! This guy's technique swabbing with the gauze doesn't look very efficient at cleaning that pus bag out. I predict the patient will be back for another draining. Hopefully with a different doctor who cleans that thing out a little more carefully.....

Ouch! Nothing witty to say about that. Just ouch.

I thought the procedure looked clumsy and rather 3rd world. You've confirmed my suspicions.

I think this patient may well be suffering from an anal fistula... An anal fistula is a little "tunnel" that can sometimes develop between the interior of the rectum and the exterior of the skin. The surgeon is thoroughly evacuating the fistula to prevent subsequent infection. Yes, perhaps the surgeon's touch is a bit rough... he may well be in a third-world hospital which needs to get through as many low income patients in one day as they possibly can... But this patient is thoroughly anesthetized locally, and can only feel a dim pressure.

The way that surgeon clipped the hole and made it 2 inches bigger was gross, plus the way he just shoved the scalpel inside was just awful... now that chick has 2 zits.

What a idiot! He acted like he did not want to even touch the area. It seemed to me like he could have made it worse jabbing that nasty hemostat in there with that big glob of infection. I wouldn't be surprised if this person has to have a zitectomy!

It could of all been avoided if the patient would of scrubbed his crck area with alot of soapd and H2O everyday.
