- christinesmcr"When I saw this I just had to post it for you all! I myself have two dog's, a Great Dane and Lab/Retrevier mix that need to have their glands drained from time to time. It is VERY common for all types of dog's to need this done and often enough that my Vet instructed me how to do it myself correctly! (AND WHILE WEARING GLOVES! What the hell was this guy thinking?!?!? Ha!) BUT, what is coming out of this poor dog's ass is NOT NORMAL AT ALL! There must be a MASSIVE INFECTION going on!! A normal dog's anal gland will secrete a minimal amount of brown LIQUID, not pus! And yes, the smell is horrible like festering death! Ugh!"anal puss
Bad quality video, but...it's on his zit...and pliers are involved. Comments

Seriously, though. There’s nothing wrong in using tools. But, you have to remember the leverage is three times greater than the hand, and without cushion, can easily damage the skin. I never had acne, but my share of pimples as a teen. There were two times I used pliers (wrapped, of course). Much later in years I had two buddies who were doctors. Through them I started collecting surgical instruments and lab equipment just to be collecting and not to use. However, hemostats and surgical scissors could be used for all sorts of things. I found that curved hemostats with soft vinyl caps were excellent and very precise for popping pimples when I had them. Today, I rarely have a zit, but when I do the hemostats are very quick and don’t have to mess with fingers. I don’t recommend it just to point out tools can be used.

The edges are too sharp, and will cut into the skin before enough force can be created to explode the zit.
A pair of flat jaw welding pliers would probably be a lot more comfortable.
I think I might invest in a pair from Harbor Freight, just in case I'm ever lucky enough to grow a pus balloon.

I have come to the conclusion that a pair of spark plug terminal pliers would be an even better choice. They have curved jaws that are rubber coated, and they are angled so you can still get great shots of the explosions with a camcorder!!!

I agree SuperNinja. Flat and smooth or coated. Would make a good video. I’m going to let the cat out-of-the-bag. I’m an older dude about 60, but still love to see a good zit/cyst bust! Until I ran across this site never knew how others did it. I haven’t had a good popper in about 15 years, but man, had some beauties when I was young! I think my best were in my twenties and on the shoulders.
Talk about technique. One time I had a real bad one in the middle of my back. This was really big, sore and ready, but couldn’t get to it. I was by myself, so I came up with an idea. I took off my shirt and stood in the middle of the doorway. I raised my foot and pushed my back as hard as I could against the edge of the door facing. Then slid my back to the side and snagged it. It busted! Ouch! This done the job, but had a big red streak down my back. You know, of all popping I’ve done, I don’t have any scars or anything, but running into a zit now and then is not like acne. I remember a friend in school had it, and back then they didn’t treat it very well. He was always sporting 2-3 zits, but said his face was too sore to mess with them. So, I don’t know too much about it, but judging by the picture of that one girl’s face reminds me of my friend.

The sound effects more than make up for the poor quality filming
