This is my very own video of me removing my tonsil stones with a crochet needle. Ouch! I accidentally caught something with my hook. Sorry it cut off so soon, my phone ran out of space. My very first post!

This wee little tonsil baby popped out the other morning as I was driving to work. I photographed it at every red light, trying to get just the right angle (clearly, I have no life). Although this one isn’t as big as the last one, I was SO GLAD to be rid of it!

For those of you who have never had a tonsil baby, it kind of feels like food or a popcorn shell is stuck at the back of your throat. I’ve tried to get them out with pokey things, but I just end up gagging myself. As annoying as it is, the best way for me to get them out is to just let them work themselves out over time, so they pop out suddenly and without warning, making me gag and cough in public (always attractive).

On a related note, I went to the ENT recently to see why I’ve been having tonsil stones over the past year (I’ve never had them before this year). He was not helpful at all. He just said to get a WaterPik and blast them out. I’d prefer not to blast my tonsils with a fire hose, but thanks anyway.

Ooo, have we missed having a really spiffy tonsil stone diggin’ for quite some time! Thanks for sending in the link laura c.!

On a hunch, I checked the other videos the user had uploaded… Pay Dirt! Another video!! It’s shorter, but it has some pretty honkin’ mouth cheese chunks! I think we may be seeing these tonsils again… soon! Sure seems to refill super quick!! Maybe there’s more on the other side?

A nice short tonsillolith video for those who are intrigued by these nasty little denizens of the crypts within our mouths. Hmmm, crypts… now it sounds creepy when you look at them like that. Well, crypts in general do tend to be filled with nasty, stinky, rotting stuff…

…sorry, it is that darn Halloween Costume post we have flashing by. I’ve got scary things on my mind (wait, that’s no different from any other day… he he he).

Back on track! We have seen this mouth before, but the tonsil stones extracted in that video were not semi-liquefied! Ewww, gooey mouth cheese!!! Yucky!! (I love it!!! More! More! But I think I will skip the crackers…)

Hi again!

Here’s my crappy cell phone pic that I took in the middle of the grocery store, onlookers be damned! This photo is just so you can get a better idea of the size–some had requested a coin for comparison, but at the time I was too ecstatic to even think of such things! I’ll remember for next time.

Speaking of which, I feel as though there’s something in the back of my throat…perhaps I’ll have another tonsil baby soon (which, by the way, is what I’ll be calling them from now on. Tonsil babies for everyone!).
