I had never seen how this was done before. Yet when you hear how many children have had tubes placed in their ears due to chronic infections of the middle ear (Serous Otitis Media) – and you have wondered exactly what does that mean, then this is the video for you, too! This is what I have learned as well – Although Pediatric ENT’s are trying to move away from hastily looking to grommets/tubes as the answer to a child’s problem, since the grommets themselves can become an issue. As seen here, it is also not a problem limited just to the young. I do hope this will be a good educational video for the many who have never seen the procedure accomplished, like myself!

This of course may be a matter of opinion, but according to our fellow PTZ member devrim, this *is* the best earwax removal video, by far! So, I took a wander to ponder the accuracy of this statement…

Hmmm… maybe not the “best”, but durn well in the running! I am so enjoying this new ENT practice. To South Zone ENT practitioners, staff, and patients – we appreciate all your wonderful willingness to show your, ahem, collective crops of wax and the various other items that need removal assistance. South Zone Ent Research Center is fast building up quite the library of PTZ worthy videos! I think we’ll be seeing more from them fairly soon… just a tickle I have in my ear (probably because I’m thinking of the various “bugs in ears” videos they have documented…. *shudder*!!!)

Lately I have had some weird version of that song “I like big butts…” stuck in my head, but it sounds more like

“I like big chunks and I cannot lie, from a cyst that’s above your eye, or an ear canal stuffed right up, you really got rid of that stuff…”

But I am not really good at what my friend calls ‘filk’, so I won’t continue murdering the tune.

But its playing again since I watched this video, so what the heck, thought I’d share. Have fun!

I guarantee “you can hear me now!” Sorry, I was compelled to say it. Some things just cannot be avoided. Chalk it up to social media conditioning. Or, if you prefer… I’m just really weird. Either or, doesn’t matter.

Is it just me, or does the Oxford Hearing Center seem to really enjoy sharing the most wax clogged ears we have seen in quite awhile?? Oh trust me, I am in no way complaining!!! I’ll watch everything the post up on YT, probably several times in a row.

I do wish that my wonderful S.O. would let me clean his ears more often. Not that his get quite this bad, but he has been known to produce some mighty fine, thick, black chunks of wax from deep in some alien recess of his ear canal. He was actually born deaf – due to large calcium deposits occluding his canals. At the age of 1, he was finally able to undergo surgery to remove the deposits, but has forever been cursed (or blessed, depends on your status in relation to the World of Popology) with these recesses which trap and accumulate earwax. Lucky me!!! Someday, I will talk him into allowing me to video me cleaning out his ears. Ahh, that lovely, lovely… ‘Someday’. lol
