Life With Acne

Doesn’t it seem like life with acne is unfair? Thinking how could god have done this to me, why did I have to inherit this gene? Yeah, that’s me. When I go to school each day looking at many other girls’ clear faces. Try to keep my distance and hoping no one will notice, but they do anyway. I am actually very pretty, but acne keeps people from seeing that. I’m not just thinking this, I’m telling you this. Waking up one morning and would be like UGHHH just disappear. I would almost not even want to hangout with friends because it was that time of the month break out. JUST SHOOT ME ALREADY!! But the thing that bothers me most is knowing there was nothing I could do about it. Trying every single product I could find! I seriously have no hope anymore, none, nada. So I go to the dirmo, and likely enough he gives me some cleansers and afterwash, I try it, doesn’t work, go back, try again. It wastes my time AND money. Like I shouldn’t have to pay for it if I try it and it doesn’t work. I have stressed, I go through it all and yeah people say ohh everyone goes through it, LIARS! Not everyone does, some are lucky and I think to myself how come I can’t have that?? Yeah well not only that but since I don’t have time and a choice for a disgusting growth on my face to develop, pop, and heal I have to force to pop them which I know leaves scars, but what am I supposed to do get laughed at. Yes I do! Well this is just another basic story saying how much acne sucks and that there has to be a way to end it for good!!

Hello everyone. I have just began using this website, and I’m pretty happy that I found it. I can talk (type) openly about my acne. Well, let’s begin….

I got my “first pimple” when I was only 12 years old!! Now, I don’t know it that’s a young or normal age, but when it hit, it hit HARD! Within a week my face was almost completely broke out! People started talking to me less and less….I still had friends though. It never really lowered my self confidence when I had bad breakouts….it was just kind of painful.

Well…it didn’t even hurt until I tried proactiv…I think that thing is the biggest bunch of crap that I’ve ever heard….I used it and it made my blemishes big and purple…and I couldn’t smile laugh…and could barely talk. I went to the dermintologis and they just put me on some medication that just gave me headaches and made things worse….

Now after trying EVERYTHING (no lie) until my mother finally let me try out acuutane…I will admit, I was kind of scared when I first starting using it because of the side effects…but when she told me they were rare…I was pumped…I had to sign about 20 differet papers and pledge not to get a girl pregnant while on it…haha….

I’ve been using acuutane for about a month now and have washed my face twice a day everyday….it’s helping a lot! But still not fast enough for me…any tips that would help my face be pretty much cleared by summer?? I wrote this on April 18, 2009…

We all have stories! Acne can be a real bummer sometimes. For me growing up it sucked. It was a constant routine everyday just to keep my acne at bay. Enough about me! We want to hear your stories. Whether it be about how you are struggling with acne or some funny acne stories about you squeezing one and covering the mirror with pus! If you have some tips or tricks about dealing with acne, others want to hear it. Have an acne product you love, then let us know. Our goal is to help acne sufferers know that they are not alone and there are others with the same stories out there. Like I said I struggled with acne when I was young and I still get adult acne, but the internet has let people come together and talk about these problems.
