Acne Scar Treatment
After a zit or pimple heals, it can leave your skin with a red mark, or hyper pigmented area. This post inflammatory change can take 6-12 months to fully heal and disappear. If another zit or pimple emerges in this area and continues to cause marks, a scar can form. Also, exposure to the sun without any protection will delay the healing and cause more damage. Laser Scar Removal – A layer is moved along the scared arid and removes the a layer revealing a smoother layer and minimizes scars.
- CO2 – ablative
- Erbium YAG – ablative but less damaging than than CO2
- Fractionated CO2 and Erbium YAR – creates tiny wounds to create a wound-healing process, but requires many treatments
