Sweet Cerumen Surprise!

Been awhile since we have had some good earwax videos, so thought we’d mix some in today. Have fun!

This is a change of pace from the compacted, dark wax impacted canal cleanouts we have been used to lately. More flaky… something we can all relate to on certain days, right? :) Plus, I was genuinely surprised (and happy, woooo!) at the amount that was removed – unexpected from first glance at the cerumen coated canal.

Remember, Blisters and Cysters – “Don’t Try This At Home” – best left to a professional! Just don’t ask me if I subscribe to the “Nothing bigger than your elbow should ever be put in your ear at home…”. Hey, they get itchy you know! LOL! Here’s to a great weekend!

YT Commentary:
“Impacted ear wax is very common and can cause hearing loss, discomfort and congestion. ENT evaluation and treatment is often required. Here is an illustration of how cerumen is often removed at the ENT surgeon’s office.

Excellent find Poppintime! I needed a pick me up to get through Friday! I wish they would have popped the cyst in the ear once they had cleaned the canal, just to be sure it was sparkling fresh ;-)

  3. That ear canal looks really, really sore! I hope they can hear alot better after going through this procedure.

  10. Seems to me that 1. His ear canal was not blocked so there was no need to cut up the sides of his ear canal the way there did and 2. Using a wax softener and then washing his ears with hydrogen peroxide and warm water using a bulb syringe would be less invasive and less expensive.

    1. No one cut up the IDE of the ears….

      1. Stupid auto correct, I meant side of the ears.

      2. Justus, of course the doctor did. When he scraped away all the wax you can see all the unnecessary raw sores up and down his ear canals from the tools used to remove the wax. Those sores all can become infected and will scab up and hurt.
        It was unnecessary.

    2. I noticed all that redness and inflammation before the Dr. even started.

  11. POP THE WHITE THINGS!!!! POP THE WHITE THINGS!!!!!
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD POP THE WHITE THINGS!!!!!

    1. He cannot pop them because they are Boney tumors, not cysts or zits. They are slow growing and called osteoma.

Hey, Uncle Larry, does this stuff qualify to be called “Gack”?

  13. Ahhh, I never get enough of the ear wax removal vids!
