Inflammation of lacrimal sac is known as dacryocystitis. Lacrimal sac opens into eyes through canaliculi, so due to blocakage of nasolacrimal duct, it happens. To know the exact site of blockage dacryocystography to be done.

Warm compression helps a lot in draining it and helping in pain relief. You can see the pus coming out of the eye. Flush the sac (syringing) with normal saline and give proper antibiotic by systemic or oral and local route. If blockage is not opened sinus may form or surgery is required. In case of child massage of sac is required for treating it.
