A Different Abscess – A Different Dr. Y!

Congratulations, cysticsister!

I don’t think I’ve seen a diverticular abscess on PTZ yet. This Dr. Y., or Dr. Yeguez, is in Boca Raton, Florida.

  1. Wow… diverticulitus runs DEEP in my family (all the women, and they are convinced I’m next)… now I know why my gramma ends up in the hospital a lot. Thanks for the great find, and the “education” of my impending doom… LOL

  2. Congratulations on a great first post, cysticsister! That was some gruesomely good yellow pus.

Since my spouse and I both have diverticulitis , we can agree that it sucks, big time. To get to this point, sucks wicked. I hope this patient is well on the way to recovery.

      Yup, a Quicky Icky

  5. It looked like scrambled eggs before they were cooked. Nice find!

    1. Pick_That_Puppy says:

Probably tasts different……………… I could be wrong.

    2. It looked like someone poked the yolk of a fried egg.

The patient must have been in EXCRUCIATING pain!!! My intestines hurt thinking about it :(

  6. Pardon me – do you have any Grey Poupon?

  7. cysticsister says:

Thanks, everyone. It is definitely exciting to see my first post! Hopefully the next one will be a little longer…

  9. I just loved the guacamole colored pus and gastric juice!!!
Excellent find and Congratulations on your first post cystercister!!!

  10. Short and sweet, in and out just how I like it!

  11. Oh my, I have diverticular disease and have been experiencing some pretty severe abdominal pain with it lately. I am SO afraid of getting an abcess like that. I just pray it doesn’t happen because I know how painful it is.

    1. @Cathy – not fun! I am sorry you have to deal with such a painful condition. My prayers are with you!!! As long as you keep your doctor informed of any changes in your pain levels or other symptoms, you should be able to avoid something like this. Good luck and many blessings!!

  12. Was glad to see this. My husband just had this done a few days ago. They said he had a pus ball the size of an orange. He’ll be on antibiotics for another 3 or 4 weeks. Unfortunately, I wasn’t allowed anywhere near the procedure.

  13. cysticsister, congratulations on your first post. Don’t worry about it being too short – we can just watch it over and over again until we feel sated!! poppy
