PTZ’s Advent – Dec. 12th: BT Presents “Potts Puffy Tumor by Dr. J.”

December 12th
BigTull Presents ~ Dr. Janakiram’s “Pott’s Puffy Tumor”

It just wouldn’t be a Holiday without PTZ’s favorite ENT – Dr. Janakiram! And for all you Dr. J. fanatics out there, here is an FYI that might help y’all… his Channel is no longer “ENTENCYCLOPEDIA”. Some weirdness at YouTube has them pushing changing your Channel ID to your full name. Well, I guess he opted in and you can now find his videos under “NARAYANAN JANAKIRAM”. Hope that helps, in case anybody was lost in YT land trying to find Dr. J.’s collection!

Now – about the video. I have never seen anything like it – very different and complicated! A good learning experience, and Dr. J. shows off his per usual cleanliness of the surgical field. Hey, it’s Dr. J.! If you don’t learn something by the end of the video, well, umm, maybe you didn’t watch it right? Just kidding! ENJOY!

Please note that I DID NOT have sound on. Good video though. Quality pictures throughout.

I have, however developed a severe sympathy headache for the patient.
The thought of drilling……in a skull…………oh my aching head.
I hope that she had a really great recovery thru chemistry.

  2. BigTull, what a magnificent Dr. J production!! He may be proud of how much quicker he can perform this operation, but I would beequally in awe of his skills no matter how long it took him! :grin”

No wonder that poor lady had a headache with all of those little red Xs up in her snoot………….

    Thanks BT

As always Dr, J’s videos are educational and great to watch. His skills far exceed a lot of surgeons in his field. I always said if I needed a surgery that was difficult and may cause problems. I would like to be able to have Dr J do the procedure!!!

Thanks Big Tull for posting another one of Dr. J’s procedures!!!

I just love the name – Pott’s Puffy Tumor! Making something cute and cuddly out of some icky cell mass. Wonder if there’s a line of Pott’s Puffy products? Pott’s Puffy Salve, for those post-party puffy eyes? And a wonderful one – Pott’s Puffy Belly, to take away those annoying love handles? One can dream, eh?

  6. All I can say is “Dr. J, you are the MAN!!!” I have seen several of these types of videos in the past and I must confess, I didnt always understand just what was happening. Sometimes in the sinuses, it all looks the same to me. I dont have any medical training what-so-ever, and I usually cannot spot what is bad or good in that area. However, Dr. J explained this video so well that I really could understand and see the problems areas that he was pointing out. Oh how I wish he was here in the US and preferably in North GA. (hint hint) Im from New Orleans and there I had a great ENT, however, since Ive been here I have not found one that I love as much as my doctor in N.O. I have such severe sinus problems and would love to visit Dr. J. Well, one can dream. Great post BigTull and as always a BIG Thank You to Dr. J. You never disappoint us. When I log on and see a video from you I just get so giddy !! LOL.

  7. He makes this highly complex surgery look so simple! Shear genius.

  9. He said here you can clearly see whatever. Um maybe it is clear for you but I have not idea what I am looking at. LOL I am so glad there are people who are so good at surgery and knowing what needs to be fixed!

    1. I’m with you, I was totally lost.

    2. Always remember; Dr. J’s videos are geared toward health care professionals and their students.

    3. Is anyone else still wondering what the heck was going on?

  10. Zit Obsessed says:

I am very impressed by this modified procedure by Dr. J. Very impressed indeed as he modified an old technique for this very patient’s problem.
Although I didn’t see very much pus, the poor lady had so much unnecessary bone that she had terrible headaches. It would hurt anyone. Side note: it’s a good thing Dr. J. didn’t get his Triamcinolone that he injected into the nasal cavity from the lab that made all the tainted Triamcinolone! All of those people died and many more got very sick and are still dealing with the problems associated with the tainted injection! :(

  11. dr. j is so amazing lovey love him greaat educational video like always great post and fund BIGTULL smooches hugs and audie bear loves :)

  12. Like many people I have no idea what just happened, but I’m so glad for that lady’s sake that it did!
