Photographic catalog showing the progression of a woman’s MRSA infection from December 5, 2011 thru January 9, 2012. Despite being admitted to the hospital fairly quickly, the aggressive antibiotic IV treatments were not working, and she underwent surgery on December 7th.
Very well presented chronicle – nice little gem, Audie!!! Thanks! Hope everyone enjoys it, I did!

Thanks! And thank you for putting in the YT link – its very helpful when I don’t get a notice right away that a link is having issues. You make it so the video can still be viewed, shared, and of course commented on!
Wish I could give you five thumbs up, but I only posess two and I have a hard time convincing sober individuals that I have all thumbs on one hand. lol

holy cow batman.that wound vac is awesome, wish i had one during my trach and coma.
wound vacs are spectacular !!! The results they get are beyond anything that you can get with regular natural healing expecially with really deep wounds.
Holy Crow that was aggressive – like Strep A aggressive. And marking the cellulitis and the pictures were awesome – and helpful to the healthcare professionals if God forbid you are in that situation.
After seeing that, I feel so much better about my MRSA infection – even though it was a year, it was never like this and when they finally could do a surgical resection, they could close it.
Great post!!
OK, well I found my personal limit. For the very first time EVER on PTZ, I had no desire to finish watching that video. I was done at the baseball sized hole in her thigh. Thanks for posting.
After they make the hole it shows how the wound was healing. I was feeling bad for the woman but im glad she recovered well.

That Wound Vac was amazing! Looked like something off a Borg…
Wow…. that experience had to hurt like a MoFo…The stench and the dressing changes would’ve made this woman a veritable invalid.
Speechless!
Very interesting video.
Wow, that was a MAJOR owie! The skin certainly had a lot of work to do to close that monster. Great find.
Agreed, when you see a wound like that (looked like someone took an oversized ice-cream scoop to it) and it reduced in size so quickly, it proves how amazing the human body is- we have the power to rebuild him(or her)- sorry just had a six million dollar man moment,ha!
Who makes that wound vac? I may want to buy stock someday! Thanks to Ms Rowe for sharing her ailment!
Great find audrey!!!
Not a bad idea BT!
phenomenal recovery , I had my doubts at first…but after it started to resemble a Pappa Johns meat and veggie pizza I knew you were on the mend. Modern medicine is a great thing!
Amazing recovery. I can’t imagine the pain that she has endured while healing. Great video diary to. I wish her the best.
Super find audrey, thank you!!
I think it’s made by ROOMBA ……………………. or not.
lmao
I bet you keep your wife rolling.
Wow!!! The human body never fails to amaze me. That was all kinds of ugly and the wound healed. Simply amazing. Thanks Halph. Nice post.
It looked like brushetta (sp?) for a little while there. I felt really bad for that lady, it got bad really fast. Seeing the progress of that wound recovery was amazing though. It reduced in size so quickly!
The first few post-op’s resembled raw, seasoned hamburger meat!!!!
seasoned indeed..lol..that wound was brutal
