Would You Like a Cyst with Your Ham on the Bone?

This person bought a large ham, on the bone, as is popular here at Christmas. They got a little more than they anticipated. Ewww. I am sure they will be receiving a refund pronto! Coles is a major supermarket chain here in Australia.

  2. Pick_That_Puppy says:

Gives a whole new meaning to the term “Ham & Cheese sandwich” …..

    1. ROFL!!! Such an ungrateful bunch of people! They got ham and CHEEZE!!! for their meal!!! Kina makes you want to thank the USDA even if they are corrupt!
      Great find iluvpus!!!

    2. lmfao haha…that was a good one

    3. Bwahaha!!!!!!!!! Touche!

  3. Dear Lord! I so hope they took it back and got a refund! YUCK

  4. That cyst was deep into the meat (muscle), would have thought it would be closer to derma

    1. Thats exactly what I had in mind;how deep it was!!!(btw,if someone have an answer to WHY the cyst was so deep,I’d love to ear it,Was it a different “sort of” cyst?Or,else…)

But it was disgusting, right? Come on?
I mean…not the vid by itself but if you let your imagination go a l-i-t-t-l-e b-i-t…pouahaha ;)

What happen if you cook a cyst?It must smell something, other than pork…

      Excellent find @ilovepus
Do you love it enough to eat it? ;)

  5. What is this? Sure hope this was found before anyone began to dig in.

  6. they offevely don’t take care of there chickens

  7. EGADS that is nasty. I wonder if there was a smell? **shutter**

    1. I was wandering the same thing

      1. I meant “wondering” the same thing, lol!

  8. omg i really love ham to but this one believe it or not made me gag big time…i really hope and pray they call the health department first then go back to store with the health department to make sure there is no more meat like that and give me a refund and hook me up with a turkey lol cuz after seeing that im pretty sure they don’t wanna eat ham ever again ewwwww thank you ilovepus that was a holiday yuk suprise lol

    1. 3cysterscafe says:

I had to read comments first as I am having ham with the family tomorrow. I don’t dare watch it now! I’ll never eat it again after watching! Lol **mind over matter** ya know? Ewww!!!

  9. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was goiing to have Ham for Xmas this year. I will reconsider now. I dont think I will ever be able to eat ham again. THATS DISGUSTING!! I have never had to turn off a video before the end, but I could not watch anymore. I actually started gagging. Great find ilovepus. This is something we all have to know about. Again, we learn so much here. I never considered that a piece of meat you buy can actually have a cyst inbedded inside, but if you think about it, of course it can. I might turn vegatarian……..hmmmmm maybe not, but I will be more observant, thats for sure.

  10. and AUD35.00 cyst – what a bargain;)

  11. Sure makes a good case for spiral sliced ham. Gotta figure it would have shown up on the slicer before packaging; but, then again, what was on the spiral slicer before the ham that you purchased. Think I’ll skip the ham this year.

    1. I always buy spiral sliced but never thought about what was on the slicer first. Thanks. Makes me want to go back to the days when I raised my own pork. (Never name anything you’re going to eat).

  12. Can you believe it??? This was the FIRST video that grossed me out!!! Couldn’t watch the whole thig!!

  13. Gross! I guess this happened in the future because it’s dated a year from now…

    1. It’s an expiration date, it says “best before 2-1-12″

      1. Twisted Cyster says:

We also have a ,,Packing Date,, on every Meat wich is packed like this…

  14. Oh yuk!!!! That settles it. We’re having turkey for Christmas this year….or bologna or egg salad sandwiches or tuna salad…anything but ham!!

    1. A gross as that was (and it was really gross) nothing we eat is really clean. I love bologna but it’s made from scraps. Love eggs and they come out of a chicken’s ass. There’s no telling how much fly poop or cockroach legs we’ve eaten over the years. Nothing coming for the stores or restaurants is sterilized. While the thought of it might gag us, it hasn’t killed us.

      1. Pick_That_Puppy says:

Are those cockroach legs the little ones with the hot sauce?
I think I got an order of those at TGIFridays

  15. Aussie Cyster says:

I would be tempted to give it a bit of a squeeze before I took it back to Coles for my refund hehe

    1. Lovin Squeezn Mama says:

Ok, I lol’d on that one AC :)

  16. Good grief…I’ll be examining my Christmas has with a magnifying glass. (Anything that deep and that big had to hurt the pig while it was alive.) :(

  17. *ham. Mommapop is so shocked she can’t spell.

  18. I’m curious, is that a cyst, or something else? I would really like to know…Whatever it is it looks pretty gross…

    1. It looked just like a sebaceous cyst to me, though it was buried surprisingly deep!

  19. OK it takes a lot to make me sick but that did it!

  20. Twisted Cyster says:

I always thought that stuff like that was there on purpose….so the meat doesnt dry out too fast… It does taste Good actualy….

Good Find and post this one….something different.

    1. Wow, you are twisted!

  21. That was pretty nasty…BUT…I would have put a glove on and dug the goop out!!! Of course, I wouldn’t have eaten the ham, but I sure woulda had some fun!!

Sucks that they wasted electricity to cook it then come to find that! Yuck!

  22. with how deep that cyst was it would be near impossible to be able to tell if there was one there with out doing an expensive scan before it hit the store. wonder what store it was from cause my sister has worked for a few coles stores around the country and still does

  23. Anyone remember that roast that had the nasty gunk in it too? I think that one was from Australia also?

  24. I wonder if the pig was sent to the slaughterhouse because it walked with a limp?

I know someone who bought a hot roast chicken from the supermarket and it had a juicy yellow abcess in the breast. Apparently it gave the chicken a ‘lemon’ flavour………and then they found it!!!!

And yes it was also in Australia. Believe it or not we DO have strict regulations but these hidden gems still get through.

BTW, I bought our christmas ham last week – haven’t carved it yet. Will keep you posted if I get a surprise.

  25. There is no telling how many of us have already eaten something like this and did’nt know it. Probably millions. Thanks for the post Ilovepus

  26. yummy!! ham and tumor on rye with some honey mustard sounds like a winner.

  27. And there’s me, thinking how gross all those “sheaves” of fat were I removed from our Thanksgiving turkey before we stuffed it….nothing was even close to as gross as this. And just think, it probably shrank by maybe as much as 50% in the baking! EWWW! Horrible find, iluvpus…of course, I consider that to mean high praise!

  28. Certainly looked like a cyst. I’m sure they got a refund.

  29. Splashpopbong says:

That would have cooked and just melted into the juices. Makes you wonder just how many cyst we have eaten and never knew about. In all honesty that would just look like a bone with marrow. Many people, myself included, would never cut a ham before cooking it. So I am guessing that I have eaten ham cysts with pineapple and brown sugar glaze before.

  30. OMG!!! That is just plain nasty! I will always have this in my mind when i see a ham @ the grocery store… 1 more reason to become a vegetarian…

  31. Heat it up a little and pop it! Yum.

  32. I really wish they had gotten a spoon and scooped it out.

  33. I didn’t find this video that disgusting. I don’t eat pig though, just one more reason to add to the list.

  34. Jen_the_ledge says:

what can one say ??….. coles discounts !!!

  35. There’s intensively-reared pork for ya.

Poor pig much have been hurting with an abscess that size right in the muscle.

  36. I’m SOOO glad I don’t eat beef or pork. GROSS! When I saw the straw, I KNEW what was going down. lol

  37. pashion4popin says:

sumfin wrong wif dis piggly wiggly alrite! eww too much gravy 4 my sunday dinner. hope they showed the store, i mean, is there no way to know if a cut of meat has any pockets?

  38. pashion4popin says:

    sumfin wrong wif dis piggly-wiggly

  39. It looks like they ate some of that ham by the looks of the protruding bone, and then discovered the cyst afterward. If that was the case and if it were me, I’d be puking my brains out for a month and swear off pork for the remainder of my life!!

  40. It’s rowfin time again…

OK I don’t eat ham any more, so correct me if I’m wrong, but smoked ham you don’t have to cook again, right? So it’s a SMOKED cyst! OMDFG…

Ex-boyfriend went to India and said when he went to an outdoor bathroom he heard snorting behind him and it was pigs lapping up the outhouse’s contents with glee…well that did it for me…LOL
