Why is it harry?
its actually a type of tumor that grows cells at random, there can be hair teeth fingernails and other tissue in it.
Is it true that these tumors are twins that didn’t develop and were absorbed? ‘
How fast do these things grow? I can’t imagine some women having some HUGE cysts in their body. Probably afraid to find out what they are.
eeuuurgh: Unless you are being punny, naming the “hairy” one “Harry”, the answer is that Dermoid cysts can be with or without all the qualifications for a Teratoma. That is, a Teratoma is technically called a Dermoid Teratoma cyst (I think – pretty sure, at least — For more info, look on eMedicine.com .)

Nice collection, btw. Not much grosses me or gives me the hhhuuuuuhs anymore but, dermoids still make me shutter when incised. It isn’t the actual blood, cheese, gray skin, etc. — it’s the whole “Frankenstein” / “Geek Love” / “Aliens” concept of having an Other, a potential being that actually grows (sometimes) recognizable parts – teeth, hair, skin, eye materials. It always brings to mind Goya’s painting of Saturn, eating his off-spring. Ig.
It’s a really nice collections of stills, tho. Really…
@alicewonders The concept of “other” was the worst part for me…. when they opened mine up they found hair, teeth and a few tiny bones inside. I still get the willies even after 20 years….

I had in 2005 a 28lb ovarian cyst removed it was huge has left me quite disfigured around the tummy had to cut me in half to remove it and i begged the dr to see it afterwards i really wanted to see what the thing we named ethel spongebob looked like ! it did have teeth and hair i was told i was so diapointed
WOW!!! How long did it take to grow? Nice doctor to let you look at it. I asked to see my ovarian cysts (endemetriosis filled) and he said absolutely not.
DID YOU SEE HOW BIG IT WAS COMPARED TO THE DOCTOR’S HANDS?!!!!!!! THAT WAS AWESOME!
