Hydatid Cyst of brain Excision in toto by Dr. Miraj
A very large (and by large I mean freaking HUGE) cyst being gently coaxed out of some poor soul’s brain. How this guy was functioning before it was removed is beyond my comprehension and to him all I have to say is DAMN.

That’s not at all where a breast implant is supposed to be … Good thing they removed it! I love the delighted laughter when it popped out.
It is tapeworm related, saqsay1. That cyst is FULL of tapeworm eggs and if they had accidentally broken the sac while still in the cranium it would be SERIOUS trouble for the patient. Hydatid cysts are extremely interesting and so so dangerous! They can develop ANYWHERE in the body. Brain, liver, lung, even the heart! Really serious characters!

Yes, it does look like a gel breast implant. Wonder if he suffered from seizures as HUGE as that thing was. Secondly – did they get them all out of his brain????
