at least in the animal videos the poor cows get a bucket…it would have been easier to hang his arm over the side of the table and let it drain.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he lost his arm after that infection..you can see below the elbow how purple and “dead” the skin looks. All of the swelling probably cut off blood flow below the point of massive infection.

what made me gag a bit about this video was how nasty and dirty that hospital is….then for some odd reason i started singing popeye the sailor man…
OMG!!! Talk about a sterile field. THERE WAS NONE. That hospital/clinic was dirty & just nasty. How could the medical personnel, let him lay in this infection. The exam table was full of this green/brown thick pus & I bet this table wasn’t sanitized properly before or afterwards. Sure hope the patient lived.
The kid is probably some wannabe athlete on steroids, and this “doctor” was the only one who would provide and “clean” up the mess
How do even come up with that idea??? It was disgusting that the Dr. didn’t take better care of him and use more care for sanitary conditions. But that’s not the kids fault.
The concepts of clean and dirty and sterile aren’t universal…
The bicep is in a muscle sheath and in looks like the infection was leading to a form of compartment syndrome because the sheath can’t expand quickly. They often have to lay those wide open. Ugg – what a mess.
But yeah, at least put something down on the bench before you open up part of the body
And that’s what you get from using steroids and using the same needle… Maybe if he is one of the lucky ones he we have avascular-necrosis if he didn’t loose that arm… Hopefully there was no MRSA or Crones running around that not so clean hospital. I just don’t understand why people let stuff get so bad in the first place.

That actually looks pretty clean for some hospitals I have seen in small villages in South America. I go on an anual mission trip to Nicaragua every year and their hospital/clinic is literally a stone building with dirt floors and only two big rooms. My church is currently raising money to build a better facilty for them to work out of. This was super narly and I feel for the man, must have been incredibly painful!
