A quickie, but you can tell she is NOT having fun. I advised her to seek medical attention, the poor dear. Excellent pus river, though, and nice clear camera work. Usually I would wish for a longer video, but when someone is in such obvious discomfort… well, anyways…

ENJOY!

As a Paramedic I can tell you that this is pre-gangrenous, and that can be fatal. No joking here, no comments on the camerawork (well, okay, the lighting COULD’ve been better) this is a deadly serious thing at this very advanced stage! And the empty headed boyfriend (or whatever he is to her) should have called for an ambulance here. This is a worthwhile call for a medic, and many’s the time that I had tyhem like this. THIS is a TRUE EMERGENCY.

A combination of fear, wounded pride, and (probably) no health insurance would do it.

    Last comment was for Morgan…

@kat: Penicillin? At that stage? The bacteria looks at you and goes, “BWA-hahahahaha!” Full-on surgical debridement and IV vancomycin would, IMO, be much, MUCH more likely; assuming that the leg doesn’t become necrotic.

Lady quit making videos of that deadly infections and get your ass to the ER right this minute! If she is diabetic or immunocompromised this could cost her her leg or her life. No medical insurance or doesnt matter, ER has to treat u and getting a bill down the road is a much better alternative than your family having to pay for your funeral! She is gonna a cocktail of heavy duty antibiotics along with the surgery and a nurse to come check that wound a couple times a week! And some hella good pain meds. Hospitals do have programs that will give people grants to pay their hospital care and get them free medical supplies, medications and home care while they are healing. I know they do this for a fact at U of M because before I got my medicaid and medicare, I had some funky lil free health plan that only covered in hospital stay and a couple of the meds and nothing else, thank god the hospital helped me out! Medicaid, Medicare and state health plans are a blessing to have even if you have to jump thru several hoops to get them! So swallow your pride lady and do what u got to do to survive!

This was a little horrifying to me… just in the fact that this person needs serious medical attention… like… right freakin’ now.

Rac87el – just a couple of notes for you – #1 – the person in the video may never visit this site, so if you have something important to direct to her/him or them, go to the original site. #2 – also remember that these video posts come from all over the world, and healthcare systems are not the same in every country. Just some things to keep in mind. :) I do hope she did get medical attention, I have not heard back.
