Oh poor baby! That must have been painful for him to walk on. THANK YOU for popping that for us all!
“Busta Merde” is right!
Hope he takes that hamster to a vet because now that this is open it will be irritated by the shavings with urine on it. The hamster will probably chew his own paw off from it. Sorry to be a black cloud.
Imagine such a huge splurch coming out of that little animal! Nice find.
That little guy must feel better, but I agree with gilming. He might end up chewing it off.
I’ve treated guinea pigs with abcesses, ti is a very tricky business, as they are so small and if it is on the foot, the animal walks on the wound. I was amazed at the amount of pus that came out, tho. Hope the hamster did survive.
and that IS a good pop
OMG! I did NOT expect THAT to pop out of there!
i have two hampsters and wow, that was quite alot, i cant imagine either one of my hampsters having that
That sure was a lot of pus for such a little paw!
great find, ppm, and i hope the animal experts’ dire predictions don’t come true. this elicited the first “oh-my-god” of the day, as i was truly startled. didn’t expect a zit the size of the hamster himself!
aww poor thing I hope it feels better after that i can’t believe so much can come out of something so small
That hamster is a star – all 5 of them.
hopefully the little guy made out ok
Bogey! You have a soft side! cool….
That looked like a Russian Hamster, My wife has been breading all types of hamsters for many years, and them little buggers can really bite (and draw blood) “I KNOW” It was very well behaved. Bless it. Hope it made a good recovery, and lived to bite another day. LOL
Well done, poor little hamster, I am definately sure that he must be feeling better with all of that pus out of him!
Whew some pop eh!
Thanks PPM you always find good poppers!
Ay Caramba!
That was SO cool.
WHOA!!!
Poor guy.
the pus looked like a mcdonalds fry lol ewww
Holy mother of… That was alot of gunk in a little foot! Poor little guy
Mine had one of those on his head…. and it grew so big we had to put him to sleep..
I miss my hamster
Oh geez he’s got to feel better now, I was not expecting that. That was like 100000% times more pus than I thought would pop out! What a cutie too.
oh i had no idea how bad these could be for them, i hope he is ok!
oh that poor little thing! i do hope that he recovered and it did not get further infected. the best thing would be to get the sterile, soft, paper-mulch shavings rather than cedar or pine, there are sharp and pointy slivers in them and the oil from the cedar can make it worse, as well as cause breathing problems when it gets wet with urine and bottle water. keeping it clean and applying some neosporin or other topical anti-biotic will help as well.
we have always had guinea pigs and the longest life so far was 8 years, that is old for a piggy. the youngest to pass was almost 6. we gave them oddles of tlc and kept their cages very, very clean. nail clipping is a must too! even with tiny hamsters.
precious little thing! i just want to hold onto his little paw until its well…
Well I wrote the guy who posted this and if I got his Portuguese right using a web translator, he said the hamster’s brother and the hamster fought, he got injured and infected, and later died. So I don’t know if the injury on his foot was a result of the fighting or not. If anyone here knows Portuguese, I’ll let you read his post to me. Poor little thing… but if it WAS a Russian mini terror, they are MEAN MEAN MEAN. My son had one and boy they can bite!
I had prairie dogs as pets and would let them run with my dogs all over the house. Sam and Nikki (the P. Dogs) would groom my other dogs and the dogs would never hurt them or vice versa. I had a dog sitter when I went on vacation and she got too close to the P Dog cage and the other dogs wouldn’t let her leave (the front door was right next the the cage LOL) the dogs surrounded it. Hilarious. I love all the little rodenty creatures!
That is so cool! I love P. dogs.
OH!! So THAT is where CHEEZ WHIZ comes from.
Poor baby.
I can’t BELIEVE the AMOUNT of pus that came out of his little paw… Jeez!!! That was CRAZY…but AWESOME! Thanks for the great post!
That much pus in a hamster is probably enough to kill it, so I wasn’t surprised to read that the hamster died not long afterward. That was a lot of pus to come out of even a HUMAN infected foot; for a hamster, that’s a recipe for gangrene and death.
Awwwwwwwwwwww….poor little critter….it’s bound to feel much better now.
Broke my heart to hear the poor baby died.
It’s a wonder that the poor thing didn’t bite the guy doing the poping. It had to hurt.
RIP little guy.
just cute…great give outta a little guy!
Thanks PimplePoppinMomma! I was completely taken off guard when so much pus came out! Incredible!
SD
poor little man…I had a hampster named, “Mickey” when I was a kid. And yes, I know…..
Aww…sorry to hear the little one died after this trauma. I had lots of hamsters when I was a kid, and never saw any infections. It was indeed shocking to see so much come out of such a little paw. The guy was so gentle with it too…Nice to see folks try to take good care of their animals like this.
Awww I was so sorry to hear the poor thing died later. Sigh but fighting animals often do damage and that was a LOT of pus out of a tiny little foot so its not surprising that the infection went deeper or perhaps another bite was also infected. The fellow was very gentle and wow what a splurge, just sorry he didn’t make it. RIP little one. Good find, thx fer posting
DAYUM!!!!
Excellent find PPM!!!
(So I’m late for the party, just over 2 years, big deal)
awesome, little critter will be doing much better
Where did all that COME from??? And why was it neon orange???
Poor little guy!
Holy crap! That was a lot of pus to come from such a tiny lil paw! Sorry to hear that it died, but that pop was awesome!
WOW! The pus was longer than his little leg.
Good Lord that was a lot of pus – looked like Cheez Whiz! Poor Fellow!
