Kitty Lip Zit!
This cat is actually quite cooperative, but is definitely speaking it’s opinion on the whole ordeal. Mom is pretty gentle – but she gets hers in the end! Kitty is laughing, on the inside at least. I’m sure. Really.

Poor little kitty you could tell they kitty was pissed and then it was all over and kitty was then happy. Kitty will get revenge probably by pooping or peeing on something thats very valuable and then the owners will be like well I guess we deserved it
She’s a brave owner, last time I messed with a cat’s mouth was to get a sewing needle out and HOLY CRAP did I get bit bad LOL, the cat’s adrenaline made the anesthesia wear off FAST. Cute kitty though! Take it to the vet and let a vet get the cyst out!
when we took our boy cats to get shots this year, the vet tech told us they got blackheads because they ate out of plastic dishes. Mom had fun “helping” them.
1 of my cats gets really bad catne (cat acne) oxypads are awesome to help.
I’m owned by 7 felines and I’d be a bloody mess if I tried to do that to any of my furkids. That woman knows her cat very well in order to pop a kitty-zit in such a tender area!

That was awesome!! My Gizmo, Snuggles, and Boomer used to get “catne” (nice term, letmeatem) from plastic bowls as well. Snug and Boom would never let me pop them, but Giz is a total trooper, much like this kitty. It was awesome. Sometimes I think about getting rid of his stainless steel bowl just so I can do it again. Lol
And all these years I have been using metal or ceramic bowls! Sigh. Hee hee. That was one good kitty! Mine would not have been so co-operative I think. Pretty kitty too!
I know that had to be a painful for the cat before the pop but I bet it got better afterwards. Good find.
can you folks clarify “catne” for me and how plastic bowls are a cause of it?
my kitties eat from glass/ceramic bowls, but i would like to know why/how plastic can do this to them.
if i didn’t hate to see animals in discomfort, i’d switch mine too plastic just to satisfy my popping addiction, LOL! i kid, i kid! i would never, ever hurt my babies, now people on the other hand…MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

My cat had a zit in the same spot but he had a crazy look in his eye when I went to pop it so I just left it.

It also helped a lot that she had someone else to hold the cat while she did it. This helps with doing anything to a cat that a cat doesn’t want done. Xena, Lolly and Maya all agree, though I’ve never had to do anything more extreme to any of them than put ointment in their eyes or give them meds from an eyedropper.
Chrisa- Cats will often develop acne (typically starts with blackheads, can progress to worse) if they eat out of plastic bowls. The porous nature of plastic will harbor bacteria that glass and metal won’t. This is also why the acne shows up on the underside, or chin, of the cat- this is the side which will come in contact with the bowl as the puss eats. My Zoey would have sliced and diced us if we had done that squeezing on her. In the past, when I’ve had to mess with something on her head, I swaddled her tightly in a big thick towel, like a kitty burrito, held her extra firmly under my left arm, and very quickly gotten the job done with my right hand. This is always accompanied by a squirming, wiggling, increasingly angry hissing explosion of fluff and pissed off puss. But at least I wasn’t shredded in the process! lolz
Cats can develop “acne” or blackheads from plastic bowls not only because they are more inclined to harbor bacteria, but because some people often just refill the bowls without washing them out. If you find that, you’ll find a film the forms on the plastic, which is where the kitty’s lip touches. This lady has done this before and whoever had a hold of the kitty really KNEW how to hold a cat while giving it minimal movement. I am a dog person, so I don’t have kitty acne to deal with, but I don’t think I’d want to after seeing how it must hurt. Ouch. Recipe for a pissed off puss.
I never knew cats could get something squeezable around the mouth like that! What a gorgeous cat. My Dude and Lulu would have to be wrapped up in a towel and held hostage to hold still for that. That kitty looks so relieved!

My cat is actually allergic to plastic but as the vet told me he has a plastic fetish. He chews on any plastic he can get his mouth on. He is like a crack head as soon as he see’s plastic he goes crazy
Definitely my favorite.
Although I have never owned a cat, I love this kitty….the color, the temperament, its eyes, and how its owners love him. I say “him” cause he is so big and jowly I assume he’s a boy. He is also easily duped by a tickle on the chin or a little head rub. But good choice to help that cyst along. Avoid plastic water and food bowls…use ceramic or stainless!
Compare this vid to OBI’S FACIAL and you’ll see the difference in kindness between 2 different owners…..now go ahead and jump all over me for that remark, Inna!
