This gentleman is draining his elbow with a hypodermic needle that he waved over a lighter flame to sterilize.

It is time for a real doctor
just looked like a build up of flyid to me-maybe a blister that got a bit outa hand
it’s difficult to say exactly what the dood is doing but i am guessing he has bursitis, or some other contained inflammation within or near the joint. the fluid is serosanguinous — the blood isn’t ideal but there isn’t any frank pus (“paging mr. pus! paging mr. frank pus! you have a call at the white courtesy telephone…”).
i don’t want to malign the creator here, but he gives me the creeps a little bit, sort of, kind of, in a way. however, i bow down before his magnanimous humanitarian gesture of sharing the… golden red goo.
hmmm, love dudes on steroids that fix themselves up. The last one we had up here tweaked one in between.
The guy reminds me of those dope junkies on the intervention shows; flicking the lighter to heat the spoon, looking for a vein, cursing, etc.
“aaah ok.. let me just prop this syringe up. If i stick it in far enough it just stands up on my arm! COOL!”
looks like some kind of effusion… he uncaps a sterile syringe and then flame sterilizes it? hmmmmm….
wasn’t that tennis elbow? Not sure why he’d have to flame the end of a sterile needle, maybe it’s a force of habit.
At least he wasn’t screaming like a little girl!!!
He actually reminds me of the idiot ex-husband who lives on the boat in the parking lot in “Cougartown”.
I think gout. Looks like urine– yellow. He seems the right age, race, etc. Thass my theory. I’m no doc, just a streetdoc.
I just had this done to my right elbow yesterday afternoon (at a real doctor’s office). It was diagnosed as burcitis. The fluid that came out of me was similar looking to this guys only mine was all clear and yellowish colored. The Doctor said the fluid that came out of me consisted primarily of protein… there was no cloudiness , red blood or pus because there was no infection present.
This is not my area of expertise, but I remember my grandfather having a bump on his left elbow, that every once in a while would break open and drain massive amounts of this color fluid, and this had been diagnosed as bursitis earlier.
