If this photo is “shopped” or not I don’t know, but I’ve seen worse up close and wayyy to personal for my own comfort. This looks like it has been treated and has had a good deal of infection and dead skin removed. If it is, infact, real of course ;P

I agree…..FAKE AS CAN BE !!! I didnt even think of it as being photoshopped but that is probably what it is….my first thought was special effects makeup…..those guys can make just about any wound look real…and extremely gross. I know you can really see the rest of the guy very good. but what you can see of him looks healthy…if this was real he would be in ICU or dead……sorry, but thats just my opinion. To even have a chance of trying to convince me I would have to have a lot more info and would want to see a actual video and even then….doubtful.

PPM…I am a medical examiner…the only medicine I practice is forensic…by the time people get to me…their next stop is the mortuary. I have seen this type of wound before and I am not saying it is not possible…I have had a few on my table that have died from untreated wounds like that……I am just saying that this particular one is fake.

I actually see wounds like this at work..It looks like an aggressive tumor that was treated on my unit this past summer. (I’m a Thoracic/ENT obs RN.) I also see this type of tumors in rats as well.
