Excerpt From Halph Staph -
“Incision and Drainage of an underarm abscess, done in hospital with real, honest to goodness doctors and GLOVES! Sorry, we seem to have a had a real lack of appropriate infection control in the videos lately… but maybe that will lead to more videos down the road. Hmmm, ya think?
Some good filming and decent close-ups of the drainage. First guess as to cause of abscess – ingrown hair. It does not strike me as Hiderentia Supperativa… but I welcome being corrected. Doctor has a very obvious gentle technique and I have no clue as to why I decided that was pertinent to point out to all y’all. Maybe I have OD’ed on holiday leftovers (four meals thus far – who says Turkey isn’t for breakfast? My dog has turkey in her morning meal).
So, sharp pointy thing, hairy doctor knuckles under clear gloves, pus and blood burbling from the inflamed armpit infection… such good elements for a PTZ video. Watch on, fellow popologists!”

No matter how many times I yell “move your hand” it never works with these videos…hmmmm.
There’s a certain amount of hand-blocking that we viewers must accept. It’s unavoidable unless and until the docs begin using a “scalpel cam”. *sigh* Because of the blocked view I couldn’t tell how big the site was. And did the doctor open up more than one spot? Di we miss out on squeezer #2?
I want to congratulate the camera operator for some of the best close-ups we’ve ever seen on ptz. Excellent work. Well done.
Agree with all. Maybe all we need is the camera man to ask the doc to remember this is being filmed and try to leave a pathway for us folks at home! I counted 3 different lancings. The first two were quite awesome (though u barely see) and the 3rd one wasnt much at all if I am counting correctly, If I am not I am sure someone will correct me. Glad this guy came to a real dr. He’d be playing wiith this thing for months and end up in the ED before it got resolved. Nice music, I usually don’t listen but this was nice a calming.

Thanks Halph Staph! Great find! And yes, good film clarity! I’m sure this guy must have felt better after this. You can just look at some of these things and in a second you know which ones probably hurt the most. I agree with you about the ingrown hair as well. So, if I’m wrong, then at least we can be wrong together!

makes me think of a vid on youtube of a back cyst.. it was a well done video.. alot of puss.. shame it ends when the shards start coming out.. (very deep cyst.)

Thanx HS. I’m also sorry we didn’t get to see him making the cuts, and to see the thing drained to the bitter end. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen an underarm cyst drained all the way because they’re usually home jobs and way too painful to complete. This doc seemed very gentle.

cam work for the most part okay, a bit to much jiggling at a couple points, while attempting to focus. good zit content and doctor technique. all around 4 stars!
I’m no doctor, but I tell ya, I could have done a hell of a lot better… and I would have done if for FREE! I would have numbed the heck out of it and pinched it unmercifully! Okay, I have control of myself now.
Why does the doc’s handhair under the glove look gross to me, but the abcess is cool?
