the cat was so calm my god usually cats hiss and fight when u hold them down like that exspecially when your sqeezing the zit out of its tummy to shoot a worm out right when it popped out she screamed jump back and the cat ran hella fast like peace out zites

Thats understandable;you never thought abt a skunk,or a possum being in your kitchen!
I would have scream too….I think!Or at least,I would have pissed in my pants.
But that lady,MM,she knew what she was trying to get out off her kitty!

The proper reaction:”Ouf!!!Its a botfly larvae like I thought it would be!I’m soooooo relieved!!!”

Anyway,screamer will be screamer…I guess!
I was a great post tho.

P.S:@mookzmom,possum look like a really disgusting creature!I have never saw a “real” one “live”.We dont have these in Quebec(up north,I suppose they need a warmer climate!)

Ditto, that, PTP! lol….This looks like about every bot larva I’ve seen here, except the ones who look like they have a little tail-like extension. I don’t blame the lady for screaming. I once got a bot larva out of my daughter’s tortoise. (Right at the base of his neck, to one side) I had never seen one before that. We put vasoline on the hole for a few hours, and then I pulled it out with hemostats. Left a big ol’ hole there for a couple of weeks, but freaked me out big time! Kind of like when I propped open my kitchen door one evening to let my cats in and out so I could watch a movie in peace. I stepped out into the kitchen, turned on the light, and saw a HUGE skunk in there eating cat food. You bet I screamed….then clamped my hand over my mouth because I didn’t want to be perfumed. Luckily he ran out without leaving a skunky surprise. The real surprise came for me later, after I’d un-propped the door, and about an hour later, turned on the lights in the kitchen again, and found a HUGE possum in there, eating cat food! YES, folks…there was a skunk, a possum, and 4 cats all in the apartment at one time, as well as two people! Needless to say, I don’t prop the doors open anymore unless I’m sitting right there to watch what or who comes in there!
