Fist of all, the patient must have been HIV positive or immunocompromised in some other way, this is the only reason why it could get so bad in the first place. Second, maybe he didn’t have medical insurance and with an illness that compromises his immune system he already has more than enough medical bills to pay. Ibuprofin is much cheaper than an operation when it comes to headaches.

Dr. J’s videos are seriously the best! I thought puss and cheese satisfied my “gross” side, but lately I am more facinated with what comes out of people’s noses and ears!! Seriously, this video was awesome….I am just curious what the persons symptoms were to have brought him to the Dr…..headaches? Trouble breathing? I have serious sinus issues and have trouble breathing all the time, if I had that kind of shit up my nose I would definintely freak the hell out!!!!

I asked Dr. Janakiram about the results of the fungal ball culture. He wrote me back today to say my guess was correct and that it was Aspergillus.

honestly, how does that happen? i realize the whole third world poverty thing, but geez, how can somebody live like that. they must have been in agony with all that stuff packing the sinus. their face probably ached and throbbed all the time, as well as the ears.

plus all that nasty gunk must have stunk to high heaven and tasted even worse dripping down the back of the throat…not to mention, really raunchy breath!

i am certain this person probably feels a million times better, being able to breathe, smell and taste.
