This is an oral mucocele caused by the blockage of, or trauma to a salivary gland. It does look like a ganglion cyst but the stuff in it isn’t the same though. There are several of these on here I believe and even more on YouTube. I like watching them taken out intact.
Yep pm that’s just what I was thinking it was. I got them when I had braces as a kid but they where much smaller and not near as gross.

I wish people would stop poking holes in their tongues, They are so vascular, hit the wrong area, ya look like a side of beef being butchered. Thank god, when I was working for the clinics, this wasn’t a fad. I do know it can quite dangerous.

Find a Clean Needle if ya want to poke something!!! I’m pretty sure he used a paperclip, that he “sanitized” by burning the end, …gross!
i loved it. no gripes about poking or placement… just loved it. i must have lost some brain cells around here somewhere.
over at EMed Dermatology, it states: “Aspiration only of the mucocele’s contents often results in recurrence and is not appropriate therapy, except to exclude other entities prior to surgical excision.”

i remember my 4 abcesses i had when i was 14 from impacted wisdom teeth with angled roots.. such pain then i sliced them, squeezed out tons of puss.. such relief.. then had champagne ontop of it.. sure helped.. thank god the appointment for the extraction was a week later!
