Magna….were you able to look up the ear candles on you tube?? I am just curious what your thoughts were….it really is a cool thing, and you will be freaked out at how much wax comes out!!!! Let me know!!!!

It’s the fact that this earwax has been pushed far in there and it starts to dry out because it’s too old. You’ve gotta be careful cleaning your ears, you should use peroxide and water really… not q-tips. It might seem like you’re just swabbing the ears but you’re really pushing bits of wax further in your ear where it will accumulate and the harsh chemicals from the bleached cotton on the q tips will dry out your ear wax.

Have any of you ever used ear candles? They are AWESOME! My left ear does not drain properly and I have always had a horrible time with ear wax build up until I found the ear candles. I’m telling ya….it is wicked how much wax you get out with these things! It is the size of a tapered candle, you put it in your ear and light the top of it on fire (you can not do this yourself, you need help)…..as the candle burns down, you cut off the part of the candle that has burned and once it burns down to about two inches, you snuff it out and remove the remaining candle. Now….you can either just throw it away, OR…..you can open it (it’s a bees wax candle, so it’s not solid)….and inspect what has been “sucked” out of your ear!!!! I do this about once a month, and on average there is about an inch to an inch and a half of wax that comes out the thickness of a pencil. I am not kidding…..you can get them at any GNC store, or places that sell herbal supplements and vitamins. And let me tell you, you can DEFINITELY hear better after, even if you don’t have a problem and it’s just a routine cleaning! YouTube has a lot of videos on ear candling if you want to watch it done, some of them are really funny….people actually have ear candle parties!
