Well, we seem to see a number of foreign land vids where persons of that nice almost cocoa colored skin have mass amounts of pus in various body parts. And I mean buckets are needed here. I am not racist, but I am beginning to believe they have a far superior pain threshold.

Sorry, but those of European or Nordic descent, are a bunch of pale arsed whimps. (Me included) I’ve heard the whiney argument about “better access to medical care”, but the truth is, anytime an American gets a tiny lump, they freak.

I laugh at the vids of some teenager popping a pimple the size of a pin head, and they oooh and ahh over the microscopic amount of pus and the tiny drop of blood that follows sends them racing around the room (camera shaking) screaming like the just witnessed the French Revolution in 5D.

They should see the person in this video! I’m not sure I heard even one whimper of pain, just a stoic face forward as the abscess let loose a torrential flash flood down their check. Now THAT’s pain tolerance!

OK, maybe they just got a shot of Morphine…

Mmmm, morphine….

ENJOY!

That had to feel better when they were through with it. I am always amazed how people will let themselves get that bad before seeking help.

This video is just wonderful–thank you for the posting. My bet is this is the result of an abscessed tooth (teeth). When I was 19, pregnant, braces just off my teeth, I had 19 cavities and yes the 3 lower left molars were abscessed–and lanced; HOWEVER, not that amount of pus, infection was released and the dentist was just upset by the infection. Not to mention my dad who hovered the entire time. No pain relievers were needed as the incision in my jaw was all I needed for instant relief. Yes, all of my teeth are crowned with the exception of the lower 4 teeth. I just wonder what that lady felt after the process was finished. Thank you for the posting. Just one of the best.

    Insaine!…Good vid!

I’m an American and don’t go to the dr. every time I “bump my head” b/c I’ll get stuck paying 30% of a $20,000 ER bill with health insurance.

Most of the people that go to the hospital or call the ambulance regularly are poor. They don’t have health insurance nor any equity….so they get it for free. It’s nuts!

Hey, fuckedupfetish, just in case you were trying to make a “funny” in relation to Step Brothers…it’s “Fancy Sauce”…not special sauce. Sorry for the semi-flame….I guess your username just riled me a little. It screams of immaturity and antiauthoritarian thinking. But, to each his own, huh? One would think one could be a little more creative is all…

FINALLY! A doctor who’s actually using something to capture all that pus… not like those other docs from the previous posts who let the poor patients practically swim in it… that must have been such a relief!!
    great vid, thanks!

Hmmm I thought when I first saw this that it would be too much pus for you guys so I didn’t post it. Glad Halph didn’t think the same. I liked it but wasn’t sure about the “pus-tolerance” of some! Thanks, Ralph. ;)

oh and Halph… there is evidence, maybe not proven by research, that people with darker skin seem to tolerate pain in the mouth better than fair-skinned, fair-haired people. I’m not sure why. My girlfriend who was blonde and burned suffered far more than I did when our wisdom teeth were cut out. The dental assistant said they seemed to see it that way in their practice. I don’t know if this theory is borne out in other places. And morphine is nice… can’t live without it!

I believe that the stuff they spray on his face when they first start is a numbing agent. What it does is it actually freezes the surface of the skin, numbing it long enough to make a small incision. I work at a dialysis clinic and we have several patients who use it before they are stuck with the needles.

great post, thanks!! I enjoy a great pus video but I like the pus to have a little chunkage added in to break up the flow.

Can you imagine the amount of pain and pressure that person was experiencing? They probably could not hear well in the ear, probably could barely open their mouth to chew or eat or even speak. I feel aweful for that individual though I imagine the relief was pretty instantaneous.

    Awesome vid though!

I am African-American and I am here to tell you that I am 100% sissified. I hate any type of pain, I can’t even get a headache without popping a Tylenol. A stubbed toe or smashed finger sends me to the room for a nap. I was secretly happy when the doctor told me I wouldn’t be able to bear children: The thought of vomiting or enduring labor pains was too much. It has nothing to do with skin color (IMO). I really think it has a lot to do with culture, though. I wonder if a persons response to pain is a learned behavior. Either way, this man was a champ!

Haven’t seen this one before, THANKS HS!!! :) )) Btw, I love the “freeze spray/numbing agent” I always ask the nurses to use that on me anytime I end up at the ER or IN the hospital. I have hard to get veins…they roll and do funny things when I get the ol’ IV’s put in. Anyway…*blah blah blah* hehe best invention ever!

    :)

    thanks again HS

Horrifying! Can you even imagine the weeks of suffering? I think the “pain tolerance” has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with easy available pain meds (although nothing short of opiates would dull the pain of this one). My medicine cabinet is well-stocked with aspirin, Aleve, ibuprofen, Extra Strength Tylenol. Bet yours in too. Be glad you are lucky enough to live in cushy North America. BTW, do we know what country this video is from?

Second viewing and commenting on this video–did you notice lack of latex on the doctors/health care providers? No gloves? When a dentist or anyone comes near your mouth they are totally invisible under layers of blue cloth, paper, mask and gloves. Not to mention the spray shield that cover the face. So, maybe this is one reason health costs are elevated in the US? It is not cheap to suit up then change and re-arm yourself again and again–those papers things and miscellaneous protection devices must cost a great deal of money.
We have HMO dental care–they count the squares of gauze and instruments used in oral surgery and dental procedures. And of course each injection and if the procedure runs over the alloted time, we have to pay extra.
However, in fairness to the dental HMO, they track us down for 6 month check up–no cost–and monitor every little change in a tooth morphology. They are very proactive in prevention.
