This little MRSA went to market, this little MRSA came home, this little MRSA got LANCED, DRAINED and CULTURED! poor wittle mrsa… not!
I will say, the poster of this video has a very informative sideline, so I do suggest clicking the see it on YouTube at some point if you want read it. It talks about medicines used to treat, duration it takes for a culture to come back (up to 1 week), and how to care for the wound.
The video is just gnarly and nasty, the way we like it.
ENJOY!
~ H.S.
PS – Emilbus2O, can we get a MRSA category? Danke!

For those of you who are newer to PopThatZit, Steven has become a friend and constant contributor to the site, chronicling his long battle with Dissecting Scalp Cellulitis. After a hiatus, here he is again, sharing some more scalp pus squeezing to drain some of the tender spots on his head. Here is the other [...]

~ ~ UPDATE ~ ~ Friday, 05-11-2012: Nana is still in the hospital. She has had 5 units of blood and is on 4 different antibiotics. She had gone septic, and the hematoma isn’t going down so she is most likely going to need surgery to remove it before she can get any better. Her [...]

“Charlotte’s Story” The worst set of plantar warts I’ve ever seen. Video is first of a series (about 20 parts). It’s from a British TV show called “Embarrassing Bodies.” Educational AND gross. This poor kid actually has part of her immune system missing! She has to have a bone marrow transplant to permanently fix the [...]

H.S. there is a section for mrsa under “staph infections”.
just thought you might like to know
Oh, like a sub category? Thanks Chrisa!
What is that about that MRSA/Staph ?? is that an American thing ?? I mean I never heard or seen that in Holland
But annyway, sometimes it gives a nice hard chunk of pus comming out, Like the core of the infection , then I like the Staph things. But most of the time there is to much blood flowing, Covering/hiding the pus. Then I am less interested. Can those Staph/MRSA infections be fatal ??
To Twisted Cyster, et al:

My wife had it last year. She got a high fever and became unresponsive. Doctors said she would have died if I were not home. 2 Trips to ER, 10 days in hospital/4 in ICU. Received daily IV of new antibiotics that cost $4K/bag. Always loved my beloved; never more than today.
Wash your hands. Wash your hands. Wash your hands.
I’m serious. Read up on it.
Thankz for the interesting info-link Magna, Hope your wife is doing fine now !!
huh.. this was not very satisfying for me. :/ beautifully nasty infection, like a rainbow! i would have loved a hard squeeeze though
Mostly I watch for the ‘show’ someone offers. I’m here to see a good pop. Name of the site. Variety and a bit of humor helps but generally, I want the pop to be good.
This show was a bit yawn.
I felt badly for the person with the wound. It was something that should have been treated far sooner. (Insert: Magna – I’m glad your wife was treated and survived. Yes MRSA is deadly.)
I like to read comments here sometimes more than I enjoy the video. In this case, I did because of Magna’s news and the fact that Twisted had not heard of this at all. I don’t know why you haven’t heard of it, Twisted. Perhaps there aren’t many cases where you live. In the US, it has grown exponentially from a small percentage of people randomly getting it to a dangerously large number who contract it now. And I think it is common for people to get more uptight about something that affects children. MRSA has become a problem for school sports programs and that’s getting a lot of notice.
My best to all of you,
lil z
Eh that vid was only so so, would have been better if the person w/mrsa had gone to the doctor and let him pop that thing right….oh just thinking about all that goo….*sigh*
Sorry I forgot to say so – my wife is just fine. You guys are very kind. Very bad juju.
FYI – to add to the drama, she went into ICU 2 DAYS AFTER she as admitted! I almost went nuts at that point.
I think the desire to evacuate pus is tightly coupled with a kind, nurturing personality.
Twisted Cyster, ZitterGitter, et al: you guys rock.
needed a hot compress on it 1st so it would drain. not satisfying
you bet LZG There was such an outbreak of MRSA in our county’s hosp. that the 2ond wk. in june, a nasal swab was performed on everyone entering the hosp. 4% of those who wanted to enter tested (+) for MRSA. That is very scary. There are so many nasty things hitting us in epidemic proportions, well we keep dragging on.
The way that infection looked, I have the perfect soundtrack for the video:
“It’s not easy being green”
Disappointing.
very poor
saw the lance, saw the sample at the very end, no pus or squeezing.
good camera though.
seems we get good camera and no pus action or poor camera work and good zit pus blood action
