The other title is “Monster Cyst Removed”, but durn it, the thing is just so cute! And yet another at home surgery – geez, next time I need surgery, can I sign up and have it done here? Maybe a breast reduction, or I can finally rid myself of a pesky gall bladder. Hmmm… anyways, I digress, back to the video! Well shot, nice choice of music, a decently balanced and enjoyable cyst removal!!

ENJOY!

(p.s. I will be surprised if someone hasn’t already submitted this one, I didn’t look very hard for it…)

Awesome video, great music, excellent post–thank you. I have had breast reduction, no way would I suggest doing that as a DIY or home job. I just (10 days back) had a small tumor, about the size of a pea, removed from my face, under my left eye. The plastic surgeon refused to let the process be video taped. [I can convince almost anyone to do anything but this guy wouldn't budge.] Since I was growing a third eye, I went ahead and let him remove the bump. I had no pain during the 18 minute process, bled some, looked like I had a black eye. Returned yesterday and learned the lesion was not cancer and the bruise under my eye is almost gone. However, I felt cheated; this posting made up for me not getting to see the lumpectomy under my eye. I have great health insurance. And oh yes, I declined to be put under, I simply said “git-her-done”. Thanks for the posting and sorry about the ranting–pain pills are great when one has no pain. LOL

After watching the vid again, I agree, the doc didn’t get it all out. It will grow back, so let encourage them to do a sequel.

I think that was pretty good. Very professionally done for an at-home procedure!

At-home surgeries can be risky unless the person performing the operation is a full accredited and experienced doctor. Some nurses, nurse practitoners, PAs, can do good jobs, too, but they need experience. Was glad to see the shot of anesthetic/epinephrine to lessen the bleeding. Was disappointing because there did seem to be more and a doc would have cut to preserve the capsule around the cyst. Not sure this person did. And SusieQ2, your doc prob had high malpractice insurance and the fact that it was close to the eye and all kinds of things could go wrong…I can understand why he chose to not let you.

oh and Ralph? (I like calling you that for some reason, if you have a sense of humor like it seems I think you’ll be okay with it) this was on youtube June 22 which is just two days before you found it. Funny you found it on Metacafé instead of YouTube tho. Good find nevertheless… kudos

Did anyone else notice the dog (or cat) that ran up to the surgeon and then took off? How funny!
