This is a bad one. Foamy discharge from an empyema is very strongly suggestive of communication between the cyst and the pleural space. In other words, this is highly suggestive of a pt with a really badly-decayed tooth that has resulted in an infection in the pleural space, that has then burrowed through the intercostal cartilage to present as a zit, but which is in fact a life-threatening infection.
This patient needs to get to the ER stat. The infection needs to be explored by a trained professional. I suspect that he needs a surgical thoracentesis to supplement the natural disintegration of tissue caused by the enzymes that are leaking from this really massive infection. This pt will need at least five days in the hospital on IV antibiotics and likely will have a PICC line installed before his discharge to home, where the IV antibiotics will continue for a full twenty- to thirty-day course. And the bathroom where this surgery was conducted needs to be sanitized with undiluted clorox.
Really truly serious. Life-threatening.
You are absolutely right cybersharque. It looks like the hole that was left behind in me when they took my chest tube out after having my left lung cut out. The tube ran into my pleural cavity and was used to drain the fluid. This man is in for some serious medical problems if he does not get to the ER immediately. Your lungs are nothing to mess around with. I like to think I know a little about the medical field. I was a Medical Assistant for over 30 years. Get this taken care of man.

I can’t blame him for wanting to do this himself. Doctors wouldn’t even try to help and it would cost him a fortune to have this done by one. I hope he heals well. I wish him the very best.
He def needs a doctor and some strong antibiotics. He may have bought himself a little relief with the home surgery, but that thing needs a doctor’s care. And since he mentioned that he has insurance (lucky guy!), he ought to get to the doctor pronto.

ok, I watched this a few times and showed it to my Mom (doctor) and she said that the man should be in the hospital and should not cut around on himself… She said that the first comment above was pretty accurate and he could die from it… she tried to explain to me what this air bubble foam crap was but I didn’t get it…

I sent him a message on youtube telling him that he could die from this. I think it wouldn’t hurt for others to encourage him to find a good doctor that will help him. This is interesting, but sad.
I don’t think cutting it means he’s dumb. He has probably been through so much already with his health that he feels helpless, or that things can’t get much worse. Unfortunately, he’s wrong– it can get much worse. I truly hope he goes to the ER. If they don’t listen to him, he should go to another ER. He was wiping a wound that has direct communication with his lung with a tee shirt that he picked up off of the bathroom floor. God only knows how much and what kinds of bacteria he just jammed in there.
I gotta cut it again, that’s what I gotta do!!! Okay, what was that scar/crease above these latest two? Maybe from when he tried to excise the demons years ago? Scary, very scary. And I couldn’t even see him squeezing or pushing anything when all that gas/bubbles came out. Was that spontaneous? He was used to it, or he would have been as horrified as we are. Yikes. This is supposed to be fun.

That was one of the most disturbing things I have ever seen. My stomach did flip flops. I seriously feel nausiated. That poor man needs medical attention. I agree with “loveit”. People should be encouraging him to go to the E.R. a.s.a.p.! Hopefully he has some family and/or friends who are aware of what he is going through and will take him to the hospitol by force, if necessary.

This person is looking for a lot of trouble. Air escaping like that can only mean one things: The pleural space of his chest is compromised. Looking at that, there’s already significant infection associated with those external tissues, and it won’t take long for that to track into the chest. Last thing he needs is pleuritis, but that’s what he’s going to get if he keeps that up…
This shouldn’t even be on the site, really. It’s not a zit or cyst of any sort…
Does he not have anyone who loves him? Knows what in the **** he’s DOING to himself in the bathroom?!? Some people will see someone doing something “on-camera” and think THEY can be a “star” too. Oh. This is what makes me crazy about our health care system and lack of affordable insurance. People take way too many chances because medical attention is SO expensive, even with insurance !!!
Ok, ok, ok…I have never commented on this site before, but this made me nauseous(very rare). I was thinking about this poor man all night. Please see a doc, assuming you are still living. Please let us know how you are doing. I too do not have health insurance; sometimes you must cry uncle and seek assistance. Be proactive, people should know the longer you wait the more expensive it is. This is disturbing.

in the prior video the guy mentions that he does have health insurance. He also mentions something like $5,000 or something. Not sure why, with my insurance i only pay $50 to go to the hospital, the insurance pays the rest. As far as $5,000, that’s a small price to pay to stay alive.
All this talk about not getting proper health care make me happy that I live in Canada, where he wouldn’t be turned away.
