Oh goody, a new botfly video!
Holy moley…That one was huge! I have a dumb question, but can you get these things through shirts?
you can get a simmilar bug from africa if it lays its eggs on drying laundry
At least she didn’t scream like a banshee, and it didn’t go on for 5 minutes. LOL Great botfly vid.
I’m not going anywhere that has botflies. Ever.

Still think that comment was great…”Well suck it up and go through labor and THEN you can talk about PAIN!!!”
Does anyone know how this works? Does the botfly just land on you and ‘sting’ a tiny egg sack into you, where it grows? What’s the botfly look like? Can you spot which flies are “bot”…and which are homemade? Sorry. Can you tell them from regular flies? Thanks for any info.
Botflies are not usually transferred from the fly itself. From what I understand you can get them from mosquitoes, among other things. Or they will fall off of something when you brush it, and the egg doesn’t hatch until it reaches a certain temperature. The heat from the mammal will make it hatch and then it burrows under your skin. You wouldn’t even feel it until it grew.
