They are called tonsilloliths. Not everyone gets them. They form in ‘crypts’ or pockets left in the tonsills following an infection. Once you start forming them, you tend to for life. They are firm, calcified remnants of impacted food and bacterial action. They are horrible smelling. Most people who get them self extrude them via q-tip rather than a medical prcedure such as this one.

haha, Cantbangel, totally!.. I tried to angle a mirror to refract light into my mouth to get at mine.. I even have one of those dental mirrors .. and NOTHING!.. I still couldn’t get at them enough.. either that or I’m just never sick enough.. which is true.. maybe I’ll start just randomly licking door handles and shopping cart handles.. but I don’t really feel like getting something worse then some sort tonsils.. I’ll just wait for nature to take its course on my own tonsils one day..*sigh*..lol

I have had tonsil stones but not this many or this big! This video was so cool! Wow! Awesome
