good thing he went to the ER. I think that those blue lines were his veins, and if whatever made them visible like that made it to his heart he could have died.

the blue lines look like pen marks. MD’s will trace the outer parts of a red, infected area to be able to track whether the infection (ie, cellulitis) is spreading.
