cellulitis anyone?
Can anyone tell me what it means when someone says of a drainage that it could tunnel?
I believe tunneling is branching off and spreading.

Had a lot in there. Nasty infection.
It means that there is a main chamber of infection from which other chambers have diverged. You have to cut out a hell of a lot of flesh to remove them all. Look up pilonodial cyst and preauricular sinus. These suckers tend to make tunnels.

Nasty pool of pus – covered a great deal of the gauze. It must have STUNK as green as it was. A spider bite? Lots of creepy crawlies in the middle east.
